You gotta admire the ones that do travel though. It's much easier to travel away with your team when there's a good crowd of you than when your sum total would barely fill a phone box.

Post by: hsmith1 on August 20, 2011, 04:03:40 PM
thats a good summing up of the first half by JL
HT Altrincham 1 Histon 0- an improving perfornance from Altrincham as game wore on. Clee unlucky with a triple chance before Clee finished off some good work by Lynch, who had got free inside the box Although his cross was dummied by Twiss, the ball ran left to Clee, who scored into an empty net. Histon had a little flurry just before the break but have been second best.

Reasonable with no away fans that actually I'd say. It's up to the team to win some matches, create some momentum and build up the gates. Hopefully large numbers to our next two very local away matches.

Great stuff, lots of positives, Reeves seemed to outpace there defence consistently in the first half, twiss gets a round of applause for kicking the ball out these days, defence improved today, think brown is ok at home when we are attacking but up against it away certainly I can see him being a weak link, mullholland isn't being given enough time and it effected his touch today when he was on, for about 10 minutes before Reeves and twiss were knackered so would like to see more effective sub times as richman showed it only took a bit of legs and the third came, come on u robins!!
