now s the right time to show his passion, not on the side of the pitch - I want a calm brain pitch side.

Lots of work to do Lee, but he is the man to do it.

Midfielder Steve Connors is in talks with Alty and will train with them this week - the only bit i cared about....

I hope Lee is the man to do it and certainly want that to be the case, I cannot share your certainty at present though.

All though some have reservations about Connors and about former players returning, our midfield has unfortunately been disappointing this season.Masked by a poor defence to a degree, but for me he would be a welcome addition

I certainly would give Connors a spin - OK he can be a tad over eager in the tackle but to be honest that is just want we need at present - someone who can win the ball and see a pass - If he had been fit and able to play last night I reckon we would have beaten what was, a decent Corby side..

You have to defend as a team starting from the front. If you don't do this adequately then any shortcomings which there may be with the back four are cruelly exposed.

I'm not saying that there are or are not shortcomings at the back per se just that whichever combination of players happen to operate in the back four positions are exposed far too often and far too easily on occasion

I always think we defend too narrowly - opposition wingers/wide players always seem to be in space and have time to get there crosses in.

Nothing in this article is any different from what the majority of people that i stand near have been saying for months.

Just as i sidenote - after the manager's criticism of his players, is the chairman going to issue a statement urging 'support not criticism'?  ;D sorry i couldn't resist.

Splendid work!

Have a well-deserved Goodwin for that observation.

FFS GET A GRIP.

I would like to say you all change your opinions as often as my wife does her knickers, but to fair she only changes them once a week..

very much the case last night, Corby seemed to have a man over every attack and exploited a lot of space on either flank.

Too many players seem to follow the ball  so we end up with too many players in the same area of the pitch, so if the
opposition move the ball quickly they get all the time in the world to pass/cross the ball

Wingers too high up the pitch, balls going past their inside shoulder leaving their wide man one on one against our full back then all your problems start.

as far as I know, I am the only person on this forum who has criticised him for wearing a suit and it is something I stand by.

The fact is it is not working, I still question his ability to implement a plan B during a game. I asked him this question at Solihull. No answer!

For me one of the best things about Sinnott is his honesty in his articles like this.

Far better to have this than a load of soundbites that we were unlucky or should have won 3 or 4 nil when you know what you've just seen and its quite the opposite.

When its crap he says its crap.  When the we knew the defence was bad he got three new ones in.  Jones was one of his marquee signings, he realised he was over the hill and he took it on the chin and binned him.

It my not seem from the terraces that he gets everything spot on (and he doesn't) but what manager does,

Good that they are in and training on Saturday as well. Hopefully we can get Connors on board, a man who won't tolerate slackers and hiders.
