Flynny,

After that Tamworth debacle, thank goodness he did not just say:

"I'll be astonished if we win on Saturday"....!

to be fair if we win i will also be astonished if we go down, theres no way all the teams around us will all win, the only thing is and sorry to be negative, is i dont think we'll win. :(

Problem is that the teams around us won't need to win, Crawley  and Cambridge can draw and we'd be down on goal difference. This also applies to Grays and Halifax should they win to get themselves up to 52 points on Tuesday. A draw for Stafford would see them below us on goal difference, unfortunately they are most likely to win as they are at home against a SAFE FGR who apparently are going to be resting some key players there. AT the moment and with what I've just read about Val and Joe I'm more concerned with how the hell we're going to beat the Shots.

I think the realistic option now Ballers is IF Grays win tmrw (as I'm almost certain with their home record and that 600 mile round trip midweek that 'Fax will do Crawley) which I think isn't a given, then our good friend Stabby and his Morecambe boys to do Grays on Saturday. Meaning we beat Shots and stay up by 1 point. Failing that of course there is the 'final fixture' of the season the AGM on June 10th, after all Davenport in that programme article a few weeks ago talked of the importance of finishing 'top' of the relegation spots.

I agree with Gary in the if and buts shouldl start on Wednesday (08:00, be there).

My hopes lie with Grays and Halifax, and Northwich lying down for Stevenage on Wednesday.

Both will win on Tuesday in my book, and Stevenage will beat Vics on Weds (who also play tonight) hopefully by a few goals.

Therefore Stevenage will be looking for a win at Halifax and an incredible sneak into the playoffs.  And Morecambe need the three points against Grays to guarantee they finish  in the higher playoff positions.

The truth is, Stafford should not be beating FGR. Do FGR have the integrity to play to their 100% potential? FGR fan says they do, but I'm not so sure. Our salvation will almost certainly be Morecambe beating Grays, which I am sure they will. I wish I was as sure of us beating Shots.

I fully expect Stafford to beat FGR at home even with a full strength FGR side.

Entering the field of play is an arrestable offence ask your dad when we do stay up who cares.

I would hope that whatever the result anyone who was contemplating going onto the field of play after the final whistle would wait until the Aldershot players and match officials were safely in their respective dressing rooms even though, as Darren has said, it is strictly speaking an arrestable offence.
