Very sad to learn of Alan's passing. I remember him well from the away coaches and SAFE meetings. RIP.

RIP Alan a true gentleman and supporter of the club.

It was a pleasure helping you in the early days of the website people probably don't realise the amount of time and effort you put into ensuring that the club had a web presence.

Paul.

Completely agree. I never knew him personally past saying hello to him on the away coaches, but I always enjoyed him at SAFE meetings in the late 90s. A real stickler for correct procedure and process. And always addressed Pete Reid as “Mr Chairman” at the SAFE meetings 😀

And, as Beez pointed out last night, there was the supporters meeting where he had a computer set up to show everyone the world wide website. Well before the days of instant internet access at your finger tips, via a telephone that fits in your pocket!
