Post by: altrincham on October 26, 2006, 10:37:13 AM
Do you think it is possible to leave Alty at 12.30 and get to Rushden for the game?

If you get a clear run I think it can be done. I have done Northampton in two hours in a modest hatchback so I don't see why not.

If the ground ids near Northampton I would suggest you consider M6/A50/M1 or M6/m6toll/M1

There is alot of Roadworks in Birmingham area!

2 Hours should be ok though steady 70 say?

Hope that helps, wish I could attend!

Always avoid Brum on the M6 surely? I often go A50 and never had any probs.

It can be done, but it all depends on how clear the roads are. I recommend using the M6 (use the toll road it'll save up to 30 minutes) then the A14, then get off at Junction 10 (A6 to Bedford). Straight over the mini roundabout in Finedon and the next roundabout you reach will be at Nene Park Turn left into the ground and it's £2 to park (recommended if you're close to kick off). I think you're in the North Stand for this one, but not overly sure (could be the Airwair). How many do you think you'll bring?
Mobile speed cameras are sometimes overhead at Junction 18 of the M6 and a fixed one past Kettering.
Drive safely.
