First time I have been able to get on here in weeks-  it has been coming up with some obscure ancient pages when I have searched - so clearly there has been a technical issue.  If I knew what I had done right this evening, I would share it, so people who cannot get in can try it out, but then again, they wouldn't read this, so it would be pointless- bit like our weekend, but not in a bad way!

Its' £12 Adults and concessions and £6 under 18s.

whether it is a decent crowd largely depends on how many alty fans turn up for this one.  There were 2100 plus Alty fans at the ground last Saturday, so, with Congleton having sold well over 300 tickets now, we could easily have over 1500 there on Thursday.

I think bounce back turned out to be the right term - we bounced back to put smiles back on faces, bounced back from ignominious defeat to get a glorious point, and the fans were bouncing up and down at the end!!

Great turnout of 609, plus however many were guests as well, and the wonderful sound of fans singing loudly in the streets outside the ground afterwards while Oldham fans looked on bemused is possibly my moment of the season - reminded me of Birmingham 86, and that's saying something.

Don't you just love being an Alty fan?!   Never give up on Alty and keep the faith!!

Magnificent in the end.

Like most, agree that we were poor for 80 minutes, tho9ugh the first goal 100% should have been ruled out due to a handball followed by a foul on Byrne.

Think those blaming Bryne for either goal are being unfair to the lad - the first he was fouled for, the second he turned a strong shot round the post and had no time to recover to block the ensuing close range shot.

Jones' sending off was unfair - we should appeal if the footage bears out this general view- and the ref was their 12th man all game - a little Hitler strutting about desperate to please the home fans.

But the fighting spirit we showed for coming back and stealing a point in the last few minutes is exactly what the team needed to do, and exactly what the fans deserved. Maxi's goal was awesome and I cannot wait to see the highlights, and Tyrese totally deserved his winner after the injustice of last weekend - he made a huge difference when he came on , showed heart and fight and the way he, the players and the fans went nuts when he scored showed how much it mattered to everyone.

Belting day out - highlight of my league season - even better than Chesterfield away last season - the celebrations at the end will live long in the memory for both.

Is it all ticket then or can we just bowl up on the day?

Just noticed that pay on the gate is possible (albeit a little more expensive)

Yep,  £18 -  Adult if you buy online in advance - £22 if you pay on the day
£8 - 65 plus and under 21 in advance - £10 pay on the day
        £5 - under 18 - £7 on the day
        Under 7s free either way

On this basis, I expect great advance sales from pensioners, 20 year olds, 17 year olds and 6 year olds!!

Seriously, these are really decent prices booked in advance especially, if people need more persuading to go.

Up to about 200 sold now so steady away

He is a local lad and an exceptionally decent bloke.  I wish him well personally, but I hope that he gets poached by a club I have no problem with in the summer.

We have sold 184 tickets so far - about 150 since yesterday.

That's the spirit friends - keep it coming and lets have a great day out.

We have earned it, and so has the team.

I agree - and it is for the generations that are sick of hearing about te glory days, which are a lifetime away, that we must never, ever give up believing that we have taste glory again.

One year before the 78 Trophy win that kick-started 5 years of joy we got knocked out in the semi finals of The Trophy in similarly heart-breaking fashion - and for me the start of the glory years was 77 and the glorious trophy run where we came within a whisker of getting to Wembley.

We are at the same point now in our gradual resurgence - because make no mistake we are on a major upward trajectory and yesterday's loss is part of that - so we can lick our wounds and rue the what ifs and wallow in recriminations and conflicting narratives about why we lost, or we can roll our sleeves up, and have a bloody good go for the rest of the season, and set ourselves up for the new season.

Perhaps all we need is to sign an scarily psychopathic midfield general to bring the ruthless killer touch to our game that is what we need to kick on to success!!!

Get yourselves to Boundary Park on 7th April and get yesterday out of your system.

First time, to my knowledge, we have played at Boundary Park.

Easy to get to for most.

Everyone has budgeted for Wembley - that isn't happening - nothing we can do about that -  so isn't it better that we get back on the horse, carry on, and make lots of noise supporting the team.

Every proper fans gets hurt like we are are from yesterday - proper fans bounce back.

The players will be gutted - so do we swerve this match because its hurting so they run out to 117 away fans in a 7000 crowd and feel like no one cares, or do we get 1000 there out singing the home fans so that the players know we are still behind them and we love our club rain or shine?

We show character and the players will too.

Certainly seemed more than 318 in the away end
Wonder if there is a trend to under report the away support especially as there was certainly more that 663 of us for the Trophy game at York

I can confirm factually that there were 318 in the away end - there were plenty of gaps if you looked from the right angle, and the Southend fans weren't that tightly bunched up.  When we see 900 Halifax fans in the Scoreboard end next week we will see the difference, and we will also see if the away end is capable of holding more.

similarly with the Gold Road End - 1350 sounds alot, but I believe it can safely hold more, but the capacity has to be capped due to crap terrace design and limited ability to put in crush barriers as a result.

The club does not under report attendances, though it seems possible that other clubs may do.

This thread is one of the most interesting I have read in ages.  There aren't any easy answers here, but I think where we have potential to development the most is the Pop side, where we have far more walkway space at the front than we need, more space at the back, no problem with overlooking housing, and therefore the potential is there to build a new, higher stand with seats at the back and smaller terrace at the front, with enough space underneath for proper catering and toilet facilities - which brings in extra revenue.  That will all cost a fortune though, with limited increases in income opportunities.

Golf Road redevelopment is entirely dependent on how high we can build a new terrace and roof without having to get planning permission - I suspect that will be the sticking point-  but a decent, steeper terrace would generate more capacity than the current GRE.

I actually think developing chequers end as a decent away end with proper catering, bar and toilet facilities and updated turhstiles is also a priority.  The space at the unused gate at the end could be used for a kind of away fans fan zone like the one at Stockport-  which brings in more revenue.  We need to find ways to provide a seating area for away fans away from family stand - drunken football fans and families and sponsors sat next to each other divided by makeshift barriers is not a tenable longer term solution, so perhaps giving a small area of pop side over to additional terracing and seating would ensure that we can accommodate larger away followings without giving them half the pop side. Build a roof too, gives them one less thing to moan about.

Main stand needs tearing down and replacing, but the trouble is that all of this costs alot of money, is only worth doing if we tear down the family stand and the CSH as well, and at the moment we cannot afford moves like this, so the emphasis has to be on what we can do in the shorter term which has a return on investment, and for me that is the away end - this is where we can spend less to make it more suitable, and generate more income most easily, in my view.  People will say it is favouring away fans over home fans etc etc but if we can make an additional £100K annually on catering and perhaps slightly higher ticket pricing at away end, for example, then it is probably the best spend in the shorter term, and will help generate funds for other developments.

strongest team for me always

This entirely  It's 2 games in a week, 4 in 2 weeks, it's well within the capabilities of full time professionals, and the players will be well up for every match I am sure - as they should be.

After yesterday I am going to make the effort and go straight from work on Tuesday.  The players deserve to see and hear a decent away contingent cheering them on after their heroic efforts yesterday.

BPA with the late late show. Plenty of dancing on the pitch, but was that really an invasion of just an incursion?

It was bloody great!

You might say it was a special operation, or that part of the pitch was temporarily annexed!!
