Cross that bridge when (if) we get there ! athough if pushed i would slightly favour Bromley . Both very tough asks though.

Indeed, far too giddy, unless I've misunderstood things we haven't got a home eliminator confirmed yet, let alone won it! :o

Poor first half, Wealdstone were the better side and thought we were lucky to be 1-1 at HT. Ethan Ross made a couple of decent saves again.

2nd half was a different story, we are a different (and much better side) when we run at opposition defences, get behind them and attack with pace. They don't like it up em. That's what happened second half and got the deserved win. Elliot Osbourne deserved man of match, ran the midfield second half and made some superb passes. Alex Newby also a big threat and key to us getting the lead.

Very enjoyable win with that second half performance, well done to Parky, Sorvs and the lads! :D :D

Game of 2 halves, Donowa spurned a great chance to put us 2-0 up before HT, then Gateshead much improved after the break. As in some other games recently, we've started the 2nd half weakly and never been good enough to recover control of the game. Might be a midfield issue, or just that when have a bit of a patched up side, we're not quite good enough to beat other play-off contenders this season.

Shame the superb goal from Dan Mooney was ultimately in a losing cause today.

Toothless and powder-puff up front, felt a bit sorry for the GK and defence to be honest, who did well.
As O Needham says above, our wide men preferred to cut in and pass sideways/backwards. Need wingers who get past the oppo defence and get to the by-line and cut it back/cross/shoot from there, not slow everything down. Seemed like Justin Amaluzor created more in his late cameo appearance than our other forwards did all afternoon.

Heroic defensive work by the whole team tonight, great to have 3 points again.

Dorking obviously one of the more cynical sides in the league and played the ref like a fiddle throughout. Even during our 2 goals they managed to get dirty fouls in either during the build up or straight after the quickly taken free kick for the first. Obviously never punished by the ref.

Just seen the Linney red card, Dorking obviously look to wind opposition players up and if Linney has fallen for it then he needs to learn sharpish. Not sure it is worth an appeal? But he'll be missed now he's suspended. They tried the same on Kosylo (e.g. screaming at him when he went down following another Dorking foul) - wisely he didn't react that time but was obviously on thin ice and sensible to be subbed.

We started very well though and looked very dangerous in the first 20 mins or so. Bold double subs by their boss saw them have a lot more of the ball, then the sending off meant the second half was torture to watch at times given how little possession we had. Delighted we held out for justice! ;D

Indeed we are 8th after these 2 defeats. Tonight was like the 2 teams swapped roles at HT. Hartlepool were terrible in the first half and we controlled the game, they let us do what we wanted, but couldn't get a 2nd goal. Start of the second half they closed us down and we crumbled. Terrible 2nd half, which Isaac Marriott in particular will want to forget.

Another excellent result, congrats to Parky Sorvs and the lads. Rochdale put a lot of energy into closing down for the first 10-15 mins or so but after that we pretty much controlled the rest of the first half. Eddie Jones probably deserved man of match and Matt Gould again seemed faultless in goal. Will need to see the highlights again but it looked like Rochdale created a few chances but the biggest difference in the 2 sides was probably the finishing. Yes the pitch had sand on it in 2 big strips, but not much choice really given all the rain there's been and credit to the ground staff, a few of us were expecting the pitch to be a lot worse tbh.

Didn't the board share their (approx) 10 year plan for redeveloping Moss Lane a couple of years back?

Where has this stuff about relocating come from? Are people putting 2+2 together and coming out with 15.0? :o :o

Very impressive today and totally deserved win, as mentioned above we smothered Eastleigh from possession and then passed them off the pitch. An excellent team performance from all, including Matt Gould who hasn't played much but made a couple of decent saves and did exactly what was need when called upon. All outfield players superb and Regan Linney deserved mom, great credit to Parky, Sorvs and the lads for an overall superb performance. 8)

Agreed, shows how far Parky and Sorvs have brought the team on to put in a very encouraging performance away at the league leaders. Eddie Jones and Regan Linney in particular were superb, pity we can't get the full 90 minutes from Regan Linney yet.
Hope Ethan Ross recovers soon, Matt Gould did pretty well in goal but Ethan Ross has made a big difference this season overall.

Keep up those levels though and we should be on for a very good rest of season.

Thoroughly deserved win and overall a one goal margin flattered Barnet. Great stuff from the team and congrats to Parky and Sorvs - we played some classy stuff at times, especially in the 2nd half when we looked like we might get 5 or 6. Barnet's main threat seemed to be lumping high balls into the box or long throws, but they all count and it got them 2 late goals. We cope much better these days with opposition corners and aerial threats, but early in the season we might have conceded more than 2 from that.

Overall a very good all round performance from all the 11, hard to pick out individuals as they all put in a very good shift, but as others said the attacking was quality at times. Newby and CCC were very good, Mooney looked sharp and Linney looks to be getting back to the level at the start of the season, shame he didn't convert that back post chance after the unfeasible run down the left by CCC!

It's not often Parky gets it wrong. Hopefully a one off. Well played Halifax; always in control and wanted it more. Could and should have been more.

Yeah, they were first to everything, stronger and deserved to win by more than a one goal margin. We looked like a patched up side and missed Osbourne in CM. Too many players were way off it today, unfortunately.

If he stays fit we know he can be a very useful attacking player at this level, plus he should have some confidence knowing his wages will be paid on time so that might help as well.

Maybe the Halifax fans weren't allowed to pull the goal nets around whilst we took our pens this time?
