There may not be the big gulf in previous years between part and full time as Covid-19 will temper the resources of some of those full time clubs.

With the possible gap being smaller we may have a good chance to establish ourselves this season before the other clubs get their finances in order a full time level and bring in better players again.

Signings like this & Kosylo are really promising. For the first time in years it feels like we are going in the National to try & attack it rather than tread water. A fascinating season in prospect.

+1

We will not just be making up the numbers this season. But time will tell, all too early to predict where we will finish, but it is looking very promising for an interesting season and many a shout of "Part time and we're proud of it" and "do you practice that all week".

I would buy Football Manager 2020 and then manage Macc (sell all the players as i couldnt afford their wages ) and then see which players the computer chooses as first team for Alty and go with that.

I think we need another defender, midfield and forward even if all the ** sign.

Such sad news. His voice and presence will be missed greatly.

A lot, of course, depends on who comes on the market.

It sounds daft to mention it seeing as it wasn't so long ago that JJ chased the money - but it would be interesting to see if picking up Chester players could be an option (and NOT to get JJ back either!)

Full backs do cause me a bit of concern too - although Hampson has seemed like a different player again these last 2 games.

Not many feel comfortable discussing on an open forum - however is anyone willing to share who they would release?

Don't think Chester players are an option. Both centre backs in their mid thirties and the Chester fans themselves don't fancy their full backs!
Midfield and up front, we're much better throughout imo

Coming back on to the Chester thing, I see Matty Waters has decided to leave, which has disappointed most of their fanbase.

Caused us some real problems when he came on the other week, seems to have an absolute wand of a left foot, and only 23 - strikes me as quite a shrewd signing?

Would we want a chester bench player. When he came on, we would have already been shattered.  Just asking the question really, i dont know anything about him.

Can I vote for the Boston Keeper, just for giggles.

Altrincham FC First Team / Macc Relegated? Anyone got an update?
« on: August 02, 2020, 09:21:39 PM »
Is there still a possibility of Macc getting relegated? If I recall was there an appeal on the go?

JUST TEASING. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I thought we were dreadful today, we need a whole new team. Best team lost, Boston were far superior.

I didnít get the Chester game. That seems to be the difference (well, from a sample of 3 cases).

I would hate to get to the game and find they have messed up the payment. We could get it free i guess, but dont want to risk it. Who would we even speak to? Or is it something for the club to do on our behalf perhaps?

How strange, i went on the website, having purchased the chester game and there is a countdown already. No option to purchase this game. Is there a foul up and they think i bought all of the games? Anyone seeing the same?
