Anyone see how we escape this terrible run of results? :( :(
It helps if you accept that Altrincham are not a play-off side suffering a blip but are in fact an average team who had a purple patch which launched us temporarily into the dizzy heights of fourth place.

The reason we are average is because we have not replaced decent players with better ones. The decent ones we lost include Colclough, Lundstram, Senior, Mullarkey and Mooney ( the player who returned is not as good as the one who went to Southend). IMHO none of those has been replaced by players who would launch and keep us permanently up the league.

However, Ethan Ross is a definite improvement over anyone since Stu, and his loss has been greatly felt over the last few weeks.

It also has to be asked what incentive the players have to get promotion and potentially put themselves out of work because very few, if any, are EFL standard.

For various reasons which will no doubt be expounded more eloquently than by me, PP lost us those three points. It will be interesting to hear if his ego and arrogance is diminished during the post-match interview.

Kosylo-what imbecilic behaviour

Last time I was there I saw Rochdale play Stoke in the FA Cup, about 10 years ago. Two things impressed me: what a massive and powerful bloke Arnautovich was and how universally ridiculed is Robbie Savage. He was there in some commentating capacity and he was heckled and sung about all throught the match. The sound editor must have had to work overtime to eradicate the expletive- ridden chants.🤣🤣

An excellent team performance for the whole 90 minutes. Very enjoyable with multiple options for MOM. The difference between the two good teams was that we had an end product, particularly in the second half, following some very slick passing. My recollection was that their keeper was far busier than Ethan and we could easily have had four, and whilst this may have looked harsh on Southend, comparing possession, I think we deserved it.

Well done and thank you.

i'm not very happy with this "losing to a club as big as" attitude.

Yes, my flabber was well and truly gasted when I saw/heard that. How can we expect the team to feel the pride generated by the club’s history, the importance of the FA Cup and play with fire in their bellies (all of which were sadly lacking yesterday) when the management capitulates like that?

If that’s how you justify a gutless performance and your own inability to design a plan to break down an 11 man defence then let’s hope the league is soon populated by small clubs whose size will determine the results in our favour.

BTW, if we didn’t spend so long passing the ball around at the back before attempting to find an ever-elusive incisive through-ball, maybe the opposition would be denied the eons to get 11 behind the ball.

Wouldn't be risking any of the starting 11 on Tuesday.
Definitely not

Why on earth do we keep getting musical interludes during commentary it’s really annoying and amateurish.
Because it’s free and run by well-intentioned amateurs.

Credit to Byrne for two fine saves during that second half.

Happy to endorse that.

How good it is to see how full-time football is allowing us to develop players like Byrne whose early season shortcomings are now becoming routine and part of his all-round play. I bet Connah’s Quay are gutted.

Sorry, laughing all the way to the bank.

Dinanga was an utter embarrassment.

Missed two golden chances; lost his man for their second goal and then cost us two points with that imbecilic action at the end when Colclough's shot was going in.

I never want to see him again.
He has reached new heights of utter incompetence. Previously he was incapable of not adding to our points tally. Now he has devised a method of reducing the points to be gained. I previously said that he’ll never be a footballer as long as I’ve got a hole…….
Can I amend that? He’ll never be a footballer as long as the earth spins - I’m assuming that will be longer than I’ve got a hole….

The sad thing is that he normally misses crosses which beat the keeper and come across goal. Trust him to touch that one.

Perhaps we could start a Justgiving page to pay someone to take him off us.

the sad truth is the fan zone has been an unmitigated disaster from it's inception

From what was shared as the vision quickly became a nightmare

From the closure of the ground and lost revenue. The ongoing barriers around the ground from that issue . The inflating costs associated to the fan zone works. The way libero were cast aside. Then the subsequent works delivered in the area to give an intial capacity of
Agreed. It’s an unmitigated amateurish shambles. But don’t forget the current board are more interested in revenue streams than piss streams. Installing toilets yields no revenue. The Fanzone is yet another way of emptying football supporters’ pockets, the goal of our board. Surely if you want a good beer in a hospitable environment then go to a pub/ bar, don’t expect a football club to meet your needs - but this board will try and meet them on the cheap and to the detriment of supporters who are actually interested in football.

Perhaps,  as part of the 'development' of the spectator experience, a designated area might be created / set aside?
Stamford Park?

I'm genuinely surprised as to why we keep playing Dinanga. We're basically playing with ten men.
That always has been the case, is the case, and always will be the case. He’ll never be a footballer as long as I’ve got a hole……..

Goodness knows what PP sees in him.

But they’re a great bunch of lads……..stay on after training……..team spirit is magnificent….

YAWN FKN YAWN

Can we have some talent please?

I don’t even mind being the first to call for the manager’s head. He’s out of his depth, promoted beyond his capabilities - we’ve all worked for someone like that.
