No Eddie Jones!Whats up with Eddie ?
I am relieved to read of plans for a sterile area after the nonsense at the Notts County game last season. Good to see that lessons have been learnt.
As for theawayChequers end, I would favour putting up a (small?) seated stand in the area near the Chequers End turnstiles and leaving the family stand free for home supporters in matches where segregation may be used.
That's a very good idea 💡
Imho (and I'm sure many on here would agree) the ideal solution would be to segregate at the scoreboard corner and stick a roof behind the goal. It surely wouldn't be too expensive. It is, after all, our ground!
I did a little digging on the only named investor on the article, Shalni Arora, and her husband is the billionaire ex CEO of B&M bargains. Would be nice if she could convince him to buy the clubHavent you learnt anything,.. owners only work when they are interested,. ask Southend and plenty of others.
Wonder if we'll have a couple of trialists on show tomorrow or if the squad we've got is actually complete?It would be the first time we didnt have trialists if that happened.
What do people think?
Its always hard to predict who will do what at this time of year.
My candidates most likely to be down there would be;
Oxford, Kiddy, Maidenhead, Rochdale
Not sure about Fylde or Ebbsfleet or Southend.
If we dont gel quickly I could see us flirting as well, but expect Wealdstone, Dorking and Hartlepool to do better than some think.
We will know more in a few weeks !
Think Dorking will get found out; and it'll test the managers experience (or lack of it) to get them out of that rut. Whilst they may surprise the new comers, I would expect most club to understand how to beat them (us really included). That away game was a shambles.
I really hope so because the former has always been a reminder to me of how short-sighted our sale of the Red Robin Social Club and the adjoining land was in the early 1970s.Sorry to correct you but,.... AFC have never owned the ground or the red robin club. AFC had a lease on the ground from TMBC and shared a lease on the car park.
