I wonder when we'll make a club captain annoucement

in Vanarama Team of The Year.

I know he's not our player, but we did have him for 5.5 months out of the 9 month season. Have we had players in the league's team of the season, at this level, before?

Altrincham FC First Team / Retained list and released list

Been said by a few already, but are we the only club not to actually do these.

Be nice as a Pro Club to put this out, and not be waiting till they rocked up on trial elsewhere.

You'll still get your engagement from contract extension.

CONFERENCE PREM

RELEGATION

With YTFC relegated, it's now between the following for the final spot, the money was on Torquay with their 5/5 wins, but a heavy defeat to Chesterfield and Wrexham final day makes it interesting last 2.

Aldershot (York Alty) 51
York 49 (Aldershot Notts County)
Maidenhead 49 (Barnet Gateshead)

---------------------------------------
Torquay (Alty and Wrexham) 46

PLAYOFFS

Boreham Wood   +15   69 (Wrexham Gateshead Yeovil)
Bromley   +13   67 (Chesterfield Oldham)
---------------------------------------
Eastleigh   -1   65 (Solihull Halifax)
Southend United +9   63 (SC**thorpe Wealdstone)

Looks pretty much done for Southend 4 point swing in 2 games, but a win on Saturday for Eastleigh, and Bromley falling to beat Chesterfield would see them only in on GD with a draw and outside by a point.

CONFERENCE NORTH

King's Lynn Town  +37 87 (Leamington and Curzon)
AFC Fylde   +28   86 (Darlington, Curzon, BPA)

On Paper it should be AFC Fylde's title, but with Darlington and Curzon both looking to sneak into POs, it's anyone guess.

PLAY-OFFS

Scarborough      +5    66 ( Telford Banbury)
Alfreton Town   +12   65 ( Blyth Bradford Brackley)
Gloucester City   +7   65 ( Farsley Chorley)
----------------------------------
Darlington      +9   64 ( KL Peterbor')
Curzon Ashton   +7   64  (Boston Fylde KL)
Buxton      +3   64 (Brackley Chester)
Chorley          +12   63 (P'Boro Gloucester)
Kidderminster   +2   63 (Southport Kettering)
Spennymoor      -1   62 (Banbury Farsley)

The maddest PO race I've seen - Buxton have won every game for about 2 months it seems, but Brackley and Chester is a tough double header. Curzon have plowed through, but Fylde and KL could be too much). Gloucester Chorley could be a straight shoot-out.

There was a fan-led protest against the current chairman. Mocked, heckled, and called some unforgiveable names.

I'm greatful this club is starting to achieve towards its destiny of eventually being an EFL CLUB

Altrincham FC First Team / Silence
« on: January 26, 2023, 04:59:56 PM »
I've got to say I've never know such worrying silence so far.

We've got Parkinson throwing shade in interview, sold our best player, yet to see a replacement play, and CCC seemingly on his way.

Weve yet to replace Newby or Jennings.

Can we have some clarification or commsthat we're not letting our top half spot and Wembley dream slip away.

It should be our most exciting end to a season a few decades, and yet it has never felt flatter

Altrincham FC First Team / Hinder or Help?
« on: January 25, 2023, 05:50:11 PM »
Would having Rochdale and hartlepool or Harrogate come down, be better than more southern clubs from League 2? Likewise CHester and CHorley from CN.

More competition for players? More local games for fans/away fans.

Altrincham FC First Team / Where would this XI finish

Discuss:
Our best conference players combined, I think would be a comfortable top 4/5.

                  Byrne

   Senior, Ferguson, Mullarky, Jones

        Lundstrum Marriot

    Colclough  Con Clarke Mooney

              Jennings

Bench: Bennet, Pringle, Kosylo Baines Smith

Altrincham FC First Team / Parkinsons Media Control
« on: January 04, 2023, 10:09:42 AM »
What's the point in waiting 2 days to Interview on a match, and then ignoring the biggest elephant in the room.

Weve 2 press officers, 2 communications officers and a digital media manager.

The questions are hardly digging, Brian, and I wonder how much Parkinsons skirtinf of question leads to us asking less pressing questions

Altrincham FC First Team / Ross Barrows

Broken ankle. I wish him all the best; hopefully we go after a quality RB as I can't see him being up to full-National-league fitness before the summer.

We have, however, looked better without him...

Altrincham FC First Team / CSC Stockport out

Stockport have resigned from the CSC. We're through, lets get it won.

Altrincham FC First Team / Don't tell us fans are important

In interviews from the manage and surrender home advantage by giving Oldham a roof.

We can talk about being a soft touch on the pitch but yesterday the crowd behind Torquay (on all 4 sides og the ground) got them that point.

Altrincham FC First Team / 1 month
« on: October 19, 2022, 01:14:24 PM »
1 month since further funds were made available and I'm not sure we've seen any additions to the squad.

We need some adult re-reinforcements asap. I hope we won't wait till January.
