They had the combined age of about 5.
Train strikes, stag night the evening before put paid to another 50 coming down.
Didn't miss much. It was one of those games taht you wish you had skipped whilst driving home.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find Raio Alty on Google play, has anyone else found it and if so where?
A great start on the new platform - On Google play make sure you type in RadioAlty without a space

Altrincham FC First Team / Phil Parkinson on Radio Alty
« on: February 07, 2022, 03:37:14 PM »
Hello all,
Phil Parkinson is in the Radio Alty studio 10-12 tomorrow.
Any questions will be read out.
I'm specifically interested in your thoughts of the weekends result. Are you delighted with the point, relieved we didn't lose or still frustrated looking for the elusive win ?
Thoughts on the current squad makeup - satisfied/too many loan players/not enough home grown talent coming through ?
Assuming we stay up your thoughts for next season and if you consider going full time is the right decision.
Anything you want to ask regarding this season will put out there.
Cheers.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: John Canning (alias VofD) RIP

An excellent tribute Cult and one I think the great man would have approved of.

I sat with John for many years at the back of the main stand listening to 'ROUTE 1' being bellowed out several times each game.

One of the funniest times was when he kept throwing up which didn't stop his outbursts. A quick loud berating of the manager and then being sick again. This lasted for a full first half of the game.

I found his straight talking and often controversial views amusing and we shared many a fag at the side of the community hall at half time;  talking about how the manager should make changes to improve the match we happened to be watching.

I will miss him very much. Rest in Peace John.

Completely agree with all of that. Fantastic night, unbelievable hangover. Brought a load of pals who had never been before and they had a great time. Well organised and a great success. Fingers crossed the weather holds out for the rest of the weekend.

Absolutely brilliant original post Steve from Sale.  My thoughts entirely and couldn't have put it better.

Thanks for everything Lee.  The Guiseley promotion final was probably my best ever Alty memory of all time.

Just this second got back with a car load of 4 of us and very disappointing. It was hammering down all the way there. 230 miles for a soggy burger and a programme !

Great atmosphere in the Community Sports Hall and a fabulous turnout. Superb result lads. The Sports Hall feels like a second home sometimes as going to a party there tonight.   ;D

One of the most puerile, pathetic pitiful posts I have read on this forum. Yes we got beaten and yes we were tired from winning our FA Cup tie and this obviously rankles with you. I think bringing over 300 fans to your sinkhole of a ground is magnificent considering the 'welcome' we get from cretins and livestock interfering types such as yourself. I hope you are very proud that you terrorised a small group of families and children and next time as a result of this we will bring half that number. Do it again and we will bring nobody and your soggy infected pies will remain uneaten.
