1209 is a fraud! Many more than that there. At least 1800 if not more!

Tonight should have been the start of a decent run after going top. Huge lost opportunity and as I have said before we have bottled too many/almost all the"big" games. Yes, Leek & Trafford were "big" games. Play offs are a lottery, the only way out is by wining it.

We could easily be down to mid table by Jan 1st. If so kiss bye bye to promotion.

I hate feeling like this, so many things are great about our club, but what happens on the pitch is so important. If I beleived we should be a mid table FCN team I wouldn't get upset about recent form. THIS IS AL ABOUT LOST OPPORTUNITY.

I don't mind losing a well fought game against teams at our own level. We continue to screw up in cup matches and "big games" like the plaqy off semi at Brackley.

Paid my Ball Sponsorship for Boxing Day a couple of days ago..... seriously hacked off tonight... after 49 seasons (and God knows how much support (financial and emotional) I expect better than a 0-2 vs Leek Town.

I guess that LS won't be doing the pre match "chat" on 26th December... if he does I can guarantee one or two probing questions....

Nite all.

Bogman

Not for me.... that's not where we need to strenghten...need a spare centre half & centre midfielder in case of injuries.. the squad is knitting together now.. let's hope for no long term injuries

Altrincham FC First Team / Stable squad....

3 starting line ups with the same 11... this is the sign of real progress. Players may be carrying minor injuries, but they want to play...
We're starting to form a unit that is hard to beat.. winning ugly is OK, just need to get enough points off the "top 6" from here on in.
Onwards & upwards....

Altrincham FC First Team / what really worries me
« on: September 28, 2013, 06:02:31 PM »
is our ability to win the big games, and make no mistake today was one of those.

We have players that have the talent, but not sure about the desire to be winners.

Sadly I expected us to lose today! After 49 years watching that is not good.

It was such a pleasure to be back amongst these guys. Kingy looked after Kenny Palin in the bar before hand, such a kind man, totally different to the hard man skipper on the pitch... I'm proud to call them all friends, more so than heros, as back then AFC was a family from top to me at the bottom... The Bogman label comes from one summer when I replastered and repainted all the outdoor unrinals at ML... the others bought me a T shirt.. "Bogman of Moss Lane".. so there you have it, now I'm getting back to my bottle of lovely Cahors Malbec. hic hic.

Tony brought his grandson to the event, David's son. Pre match a few of us used to keep an eye on him over a beer and Hamlet cigar in The Moss as he wasn't allowed in the dressing room! Then back to the Moss afterwards to do the quiz in the Football Pink as soon as it arrived!

Even Sid the landlord was a god guy... best hot steak sandwiches in the North West!

Nite all!

Sadly Ian is not the player he was.... if that is a sign of how good County will be, we need not worry.

Ian lost his way and is on a downward drift.
