He needs to stop taking to heart bits of stuff off the internet though. Football is a game of opinions. Also, plenty of people, who are genuine supporters rather than spectators, unfortunately wonít have anything positive to say about any aspect of the  club until changes at the top are seen and fresh investment/ideas are on board. Thatís not his fault, and I appreciate he wants togetherness but To be fair nothing is detracting from getting behind the team from those that still attend. Hell, imagine the backing if everyone still went

The quickness to pick up on the most minor of criticism is a growing concern of mine.

For me, it is good that he is seeking feedback. I'm not necessarily expecting him to react to it but operating in a vacuum with no awareness of how your product is being perceived is a high risk approach and the trait of a poor manager whether that be football or anything else.

The highlights are on Youtube. The pitch looks a lot better than it actually was in reality.

The kind of runs he does getting traction must have been a big problem on Saturday.

I think you have answered your own question L'homme. His behaviour does go beyond what anyone could reasonably describe as normal. When I walked past him he was having a discussion with himself about how we would just have to win 3 -2  which is OK but at other times he does become extremely agitated with very little provocation. He was protesting loudly that he hadn't done anything yesterday. I wasn't stood in that part of the terrace when the initial incident took place so can only rely on what others said. Ultimately he attempted to assault the official which was vever going to end well.

He really could do with "a carer or friend " but its not the club's place to provide one. We have agreed the club does have a duty to ensure the safety of everyone in the ground on previous threads so I think it is unfortunate but we have to make sure he or anyone else isn't the spark for bigger issues.

I am looking forward to the visit to Stafford  just to prove that Phil was right and we were all wrong.

So. true. We've earned this. Long may it continue.

It's a bit scarey but 3 - 0  seems to be the default score

Good luck to him. I thought he put in some really important tackles and was rock solid as a full back. For me, he was always a bit tentative going forward though.

An interesting piece on the BBC website today about the dilemma facing National League clubs with 3/4G pitches and aspirations to be promoted to the EFL:

It's an interesting situation. If needs be the clubs concerned could throw a match or two at the end of the seasom and bring the game into disrepute.

That's like the guys at the end of the nineteenth century saying that a good horse will always be better than the internal combustion engine. One day it will pass. At the moment, I too vote for grass.

There was an are just inside the chequers end that ripped up really badly yesterday. It was the same two years ago too. I wondrer what the underlying problem is. It's almost as though the grass can't grow strong roots there.

I'm sure it doesn't make sense to anyone but it's just the way things have played out.

We're definitely going through a transitional season this year.

I think I'd rather have a drying wind. It was obvious yesterday that the structure of the soil had completely broken down in certain areas. It will take a lot of effort and luck to get it back into anything like a decent shape.

I didn't like the pitch at Sutton Coldfield. It made everything very dark.

Sounds fair to me.

No room for complacency though. Marine had a good away win and Coalville beat Warrington.

I think the pitch is a leveller at this time of year. When you are playing hoofball you don't have to worry about the pitch but with our style of football it is a factor.
