I thought he was on loan somewhere....

Last I heard he was at Guiseley

It was releasing players like Sean that had really started to make me nervous about 'clearing the decks' policies in general - we all saw how disastrous it was the season after. You've got to be sure the player coming in is better.

From memory, we replaced Sean with Josh O'Keeffe. We went down and Sean received an England 'C' call-up not long afterwards.

Brilliant signing! Well done PP. He was number 1 on my list (alongside Elliot Newby) this Summer.

Still only young, has improved since he was last with us (and to be honest he wasnt miles off then either), and was the star player by a mile at the club I thought was second best to us last season.

Straight into the starting XI for me.

According to the website.

There is a consensus that having retained 15 of last season's squad we only need a few additions to make up an 18 man squad....I think most would agree that these 3 signings need to be real quality and something to get us even more excited.

Fans have cited a keeper, a defender, midfielder (probably a JJ quality winger) and a forward....not sure which of these Anthony dwyer is...

I'm wondering wether PP will just sign the 3 or 4 needed and go into the friendlies with just these or dabble around a bit more?

I do feel we need to lift the quality a tiny bit but that will mean a very tough decision and one of last season's players taking a back seat.....

I suspect Dwyer might be the person brought in to keep Jordan on his toes to be honest

Michael Nottingham has left Salford
Chester?

They reckon he'll get a move higher up the pyramid.

Jordan Sinnott being released by Chesterfield according to the press. Worth a cheeky move?

Probably end up at Gainsborough

He was very well regarded at Halifax, might end up back there.

Over 75,000 people reached with a little level of creativity. Imagine what could be done to attract interest to our 51% with the same level of thought.

I agree, its great to get the message out and you and others are doing a fine job doing that,...., however its one thing letting people know, its another them putting their hand in their pocket  Sad Shocked Huh

Well, obviously.

You're approach seems to be: 'It's really difficult to find people willing to put money into a football club so it's best not to bother.'

I'd hope that the actual approach would be: 'It's really difficult to find people willing to put money into a football club so we should try really hard.'

This.

It seems like the current strategy is sticking our heads in the sand and actually hoping nobody comes knocking, so as to preserve the status quo.

A million quid a year pumped in with barely any new infrastructure is barmy. Bit odd too that they are turning against the one owner bankrolling clubs model yet quote Macc and Accrington as examples to follow.

Macc and Accrington pull the wool over everyone's eyes with their SOS stunts every other year. I'm pretty sure Accy had close to the biggest budget in the league when they won the Conference.

I suspect we'll see the likes of Barrow in the NLN the season after next - although I did say that about Solihull and they seemed to steam towards safety in the Spring.

If a ground is on the same site, it's the same ground. It's just been refurbished.  Forget all this nonsense about where the pitch is!

Ashton coming up was the best possible outcome for me.

Both Ashton clubs, Stockport and FCUM all 20 minute drives

5 Hale businessmen (one now Jersey based) on the train back from a day of racing.
None of them knew of share issue, or where online to read about it.

All United fans who occasionally watch us.

We can't even tell the neighbours correctly.

Let's get a for sale sign up ffs.

This post pretty much wraps up the thread to be honest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean Jordan can leave for a free again next Summer?

I'm hoping the club is now doing everything it can to push the boat out and secure our younger assets for durations that could see us landing fees and sell-ons.

Of course, the club might have tried this with Jordan and he insisted on the year only?

Kings Lynn 1-2 Slough right at the death

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume Slough's promotion means we'll get Hereford but also unfortunately keep Brackley too?

In fact, a King's Lynn win would probably have meant we'd get them, Hereford AND lose Brackley, which would have been great.

To me both Rankine and Perry seemed disinterested at times and didn't look for the ball enough. There were notable exceptions. Perry's game at Macc being one. I can't think of any point in any game when Jordan wasn't interested in scoring. Long may it continue.

Jordan will never not want to score - it's in his nature (a bit like a young Rooney really). He's the sort of player that would be well fired up by Macc.
