To see some fringe players like Joel Swift get given game time In the last two, very winnable games. God only knows maybe Gillespie will give us a parting gift before we give him his P45.

Not as funny as the opposing fixtures post match interview, but he is not happy!
THEY DID PLAY WELL
5 games in 15 days AND comings and goings, it's a miracle they could still remember how to play football with the amount going on at that club

Up the robins

How many times do we have to lose to the sh*t in this league before we'll learn? Beating big boys all well and good but means nothing if we don't win the winnable games-
Alfreton 1 point from 6
Beat by Telford
Nuneaton 0 from 6
Hammered by Welling
Loss vs Southport
(And Blyth)

We could be in play offs if we had won under half of the points lost in those games, it's like the players (and us) know they are going to slip up against the teams around us "teams always end bad runs against us" "we always lose when we are favourites" like it's an excuse.
Were not going to consistently beat the big teams, we need to sort out this "superiority complex" of not being able to get up for the smaller games. Striker and winger needed, Gillespie and Wilko not up to it. Contrast that with points taken off Grimsby, Kiddy, Macc, Halifax  Wrexham and Lincoln and that's the frustrating part.

Badly missed Richman, Dens and Cav today, especially Dens on that right side.
On the bright side, we'd have to seriously fudge it up to go down now, just need to iron out some issues and we'll be a decent side. And bring in some support for Reeves, who himself is somewhat hot and cold! We were excellent at Chester, same again on NYD

Teasers? Or T*ssers?

Fair play to him for doing it, fans needed, and deserved to hear something like this. At least In this and Sinnott's post blyth interview we see that they are not 100% deluded.

Great as winning against the big teams is, means nothing if you can't beat those around you- which we can't. 3 simply abysmal results in 4 games, Alfreton was poor, Blyth was a disgrace and can't believe people think we played well at Telford. Even if I'm just deluded and we did play well, we didn't win, didn't even get a point against a team bound for the CN next season.Throw in a couple of mind bogging decisions Sinnott makes in his infite wisdom, a lack of consistency in team selection and more importantly performances and results, a lack of goals and you have a team who have a very tough run ahead that if it goes wrong could throw us right back into the mix relegation wise. Big few weeks ahead- think some fresh faces couldn't harm us. If I had any sort of senior position I'd be battling through hell and high water to get Wally back, near enough whatever it takes - but it may be an impossibility I don't know, but surely everyone has their price? Sinnout?
Not just yet.

Placed on "gardening leave" relieved of first team managerial duties - good timing for us surely?! Strange decision IMO as they are comfortably mid-table.

We do have a very pacey,  tricky winger in Ryan Crowther who everyone forgets about, because he's always injured or ill
13  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Our badge on: October 25, 2014, 10:01:51 AM
Once you change the badge it's a slippery slope, might aswell change the name & move into a new ground. Badge is tradition and heritage; it's one of the nicer looking badges in the league, it's classy, unlike other teams e.g Halifax or Braintree. When I see our much nicer coat of arms against everyone else's, ours always looks better not at all cheap or tacky like others. Goes without saying that I like every fan am
All for opening up revenue streams for the club but not at the cost of destroying tradition.if it ain't broke don't fix it
