Just to be clear I was commenting on the design of the ground, rather than its location/environment.

Yes I agree..........inside was fine and things ok. Men's toilets could be bigger, but on the whole ok.

The location and nearby places for food and drink......useless

The buildings or the actual khazis?

I’m sure I read an old interview from maybe last season that said actually a lot of the players prefer travelling down on the day. Guess with family commitments that might be understandable but must admit I am surprised at how few games down south we seem to overnight for.

This may have changes as many will have also been working full time as well. Full time with the football club only will leave more time with their families.

What do the players do, however, between breakfast and kick off - I don't know if the standard of hotel we can afford allows the players to stay there over lunch!

MUST play our strongest team and just hope we get no injuries.

My Scunny fan friend says that James Dean - the Scunny manager, not the dead actor! - is "Tactically out of his depth!"
We must be patient as they will make mistakes.

No.10 is an important position in our team.

Cashman looked very disinterested tonight, albeit he was out of position for a lot of the game.

Osborne had a good game but he isn't good enough to make things happen.

We are better with two wingers on the pitch, so why not try Ben for a few games at no.10. He has never been given a proper opportunity, like others. He see's passes that other's don't and can't do.

On a seperate note, Linney looks very good. Strong and confident lad. Hulme is giving his all but I feel Linney would give us more of an attacking outlet.

Linney not turning up on time - traffic or not - is unacceptable for a lad wanting his chance at this level.

My uns=derstanding is, having been p/t at FCUM, is having to work his notice at his job.

How can such a simple question create some bitter replies?

Poor ref, cymical opposition and the same issues with 2 quick goals and set pieces!

Performance deserved a better result by the sounds of things!

I see Mike Clegg has joined as Chief Scout from Ashton after the two recent hidings they were given.

Well connected fella in non league circles, should hopefully open up some new avenues for us.

Is he the ex man u player who retired from playing in his mid to late twenties?
If so, isn't he still on the staff there?

I think he is somebody different who just happens to have the same name.

Ah, okay. Thanks for that SH.

Talking of Michael Clegg (as we were, last month), our chief scout is expected to become the new Warrington Rylands manager according to the Warrington Guardian.

Sounded like we got away with that one a bit, but our extra class told.

Barnet our biggest remaining threat, though Gateshead could be a bugger!

A good but hard listen with all the crowd around. That screechy woman was very irritating.

Gave me flashbacks of my ex!

Truly shocked by this very sad news.

So many wonderful tributes here. What I remember is his character and humour: the pic of him on JL's "Alty Files" was at Graham Heathcote's testimonial where I saw him "challenge" Kenny Palin to a fight!
then the interview where he accused BBC's Barry Davies of having a rabbit on his head!

Such a loss to so many people. R.I.P  a true legend
