The one other thing I am grateful for on Saturday, despite the result, was that I was able to go up to Chris in the CSH after the game, shake his hand and personally thank him for all he has done for our club. I told him I had really enjoyed watching him and wished him all the best in his future career.

Really glad I did that.

But did ypu tell him to come back?

Thanks C C-C and all the best for the future.....especially if some of that is at the JD!

The brutal truth is that we're at the bottom (or near the bottom) of the professional club food chain at the moment and we have got to come to terms with it.
Also our model seems to be to try to attract young players to develop and sell on so we can hardly complain when this happens. It's just a shame that several have gone at the same time when one per season would have been preferable.
The big concern is that we've failed so far to unearth a goalscoring number nine who would be happy to stay with us for a good while.
Two or three positive forward signings in the next couple of weeks will see us okay and I believe Parky has this in hand. 🤞

Exactly

Only positive was the attendance

If we don't get 2 decent offensive players in we will be a relegation fight.

I hope they won't swear at everyone!

I wouldn't be surprised if they get the Family Stand as their seating area.

Now I have to admit I can only go from RR commentaries and highlights.

I don't think Dinanga has hot the heights of earlier in the season when he was not just scoring goals, but doing some decent work in build ups.
A plus is that he is getting into good positions, but not taking advantage of them enough, and too often getting into offside positions, which shows a lack of footballing intelligence.
Like CR7, Dinanga needs a lot of chances to get the goals, but, maybe, lacks some of CR7's other skills!!!!!
I think he needs game time (which he got on loan), but does not seem to come up to the standard to get that game time.
He is not a bad player, cannot judge him on lazyness, but imho is a subs bench/impact player.

Remains to be seen how much of a strain Toby actually had - although I agree I thought the new lad did OK.

Valiant effort tonight in a game our season won't be judged on.

James Jones again culpable for the goal, after pondering a bouncing ball against Maidenhead. We can't go into next season with him as first choice.

By not playing he could not be scouted - not least by Chesterfield, who have previously shown an interest.

Sounded like a very impressive defensive performance: we were giving away 3-4-5 goals earlier in the season.

Weak up front and Dinanga needs too many chances to score - John Helm described his as the best chance of the match.
Hulme wasted on the wing and Kaja still has to prove himself.

A 26yr old loaned out might be an indication his home club might be looking to let him go at the end os the season. Let's see how good he is!

Without a sugar daddy we will be a selling club.
We have sound financial backing, but it is the nature of a club like ours is that - as a f/t club at the lowest level we will be selling plauers and relying on loans to fill the gaps.
lets face it - we have had some decent loanees, which have lead to some decent buys!

Our first Polish player since Konrad Kapler in the 1950s?
Wasn't he the baddie in Hitchcocks ' North by Northwest ' .

George Kaplan was the non-existent spy that Cary Grant's character was mistaken for by the baddies.

N by NW is one of my all time favourite films!

Meanwhile, Dr Caplan was my GP back in the day in Timperley and his daughter is Caroline Catz!

I think Maxi may be defensive midfield cover so we don't need to bring Osborne on!

Can't think of Maxi without thinking 1750!!!!!

Good luck at Alty!

Should be some very popular ex players there I would imagine. I hope it is a great occasion.

After watching the highlights Dinanga does deserve a good bit of credit for his (not insignificant) role in the second goal before he tapped it in. A very good give and go and he managed to get himself into a dangerous position after that. Dare I say it was a proper centre forward's goal. Fair play.

My impression from the commentarhy was that he stole his goal, but the highlights show a defender veryt close so I can give him the benefit of the doubt on this.

Dinanga does remind me of CR7 (stop laughing) insofar as he needs a hell of a lot of chances to get his goals. There is something there, his set up play is pretty good and he gets into good positions, but he is a trypical striker in that he is best acting on instinct than thinking.

He is a good shot stopper, but needs more training to control the box. Some good training should sort this.

Remember TT had quite a few doubters when he started with us.

Snowing did not stop us playing at school....even if a blizzard......then again our PE teacher was ex-Gestapo

We had a groundsman (Mathers iirc) and he hated the idea of anyone stepping on his beloved turf!
