Good night

Lancaster keeper was young fella who had a storma for Abbey Hey at Moss Lane in the FAC - looks like he kept em out

Also think Barrows win tonight relegated Chester ?

Chester were relegated on saturday, Barrow might yet escape?

Cheers - realised soon after I posted - Chester could not catch Woking before tonight's game

200 at Warrington tonight - Rugby League town

But, let alone Warrington Town, Rylands were talking about their EFL ambitions this week in the Non-League Paper. Some people are delusional, though, pretty clearly.

Anyway, excellent results for us once more with Ashton United starting to look like the team who might hit the playoffs in good form.

They may even finish runners up, sat in second a point ahead but having played a game more

Again as a point of information, on Boxing Day the coach was scheduled to leave Sale at 12.10 and the ground 20 minutes later. As it happened we were held back as long as possible (which turned out to be 40 minutes) in view of a late inspection at around 1.15. A 12.30 inspection would have created the same problem. A number of independent travellers would also have set off significantly earlier than 12.30 and some will have to do so tomorrow to ensure arriving in good time for a 3 p.m. kick-off given public transport's limitations on a Bank Holiday. All this suggests that an inspection well before noon is advisable, so I for one am grateful that the club have organised things the way they have.

As long as it's okay for you eh?

There is far too much news, and currently not formatted correctly. I hope we have a non league round up condensing the current information into a better format.

Last night saw another step forward for the social media as we took questions via a digital platform.

All Altrincham FC relevant questions from non-Annoymous names bar the following were covered. Perhaps not to the level of detail required, but still touched upon. Hopefully fans will use a name moving moving forward to allow more questions to be met.

Ben Cartwright - I know we have 3 quality full backs who are versatile but is a new full back signing likely just for cover
Golf Road Ender - How many women has Fos shagged to the nearest 1000?
Wayne - When I was a young lad I was a ballboy at Altrincham an used to get 50p at the end of the game, do you still have kids doing it?
Nrithya Rammohan - Will Bollywood Dance still be going ahead in the community centre on a Tuesday night next season if more than 500 people start turning up to watch the soccer?
Steve A - Grahame - when you do eventually step down as chairman of Altrincham, how do you think your time in charge will be remembered? What do you think will define it?

Without wanting to get too carried away, weve got ourselves back on track thanks to results elsewhere and us doing our job.

However, that should take nothing away from Last nights performance. Whilst Ive seen better footballing performances (perhaps at times weve been spoilt - Stourbridge springs to mind), that was a superb team performance. We won the second balls, we kept it simple, and high tempo.

Simon Richman was outstanding in his efforts, his confidence of winning every ball led to him having a pop and scoring the second.

We got players pressing together, fighting for the ball, and playing with energy - excactly what we were missing in our two home defeats. I was impressed by our team pressing by the ref on every physical challenge. Whether a tactic or not, it ensured no foul (bar the penalty on JJ) went unnoticed.

I still would like to see Harrop on the pitch, has he and Phil fallen out? Barely played recently.

I suspect Harrop is just being managed; he's still learning his way a bit in the game and it's no surprise we've looked assured again since Richman's return alongside Moult.

Hopefully the heavier pitches are now a thing of the past and we can just do our thing - I look at the fixture list and suddenly can't see 7 points being dropped, but one game at a time.

Did JJ play on the left?

yes, but more important, he won the first 1 v1 and therefore had the defender worried and making mistakes then on in.

Or alternatively a seat in the main stand could be permanently removed.
Or replaced with a different colour?

The popular side should be officially named after Kenny Palin, I think. An absolute constant throughout my years watching Altrincham - Ill never forget the first time I heard him start zigger zagger off. Football clubs like ours are built on legendary characters like Kenny and weve lost a true legend today. My condolences to his family and close friends. The flood of tweets from past and present players says it all.

+1. Or Maybe replace the Radio Robins / Alty TV banner with a permanent sign named after Kenny?

Id like to organise a commemorative flag to be hung on the GRE on match days, and I was wondering who would be willing to contribute to the production? Any suggestions for wording are welcome, I was thinking the thread title.

Nice idea, Cooker. What about a board somewhere in the ground. Whilst it doesn't have the carry appeal, it would have an ever-present place at Moss Lane, and be more visible.

His best interview as Altrincham manager, by far.

Needed to be after his teams worst performance

It is with great sadness that Altrincham FC has learned of the death of legendary supporter Kenny Palin who, over his many years of supporting the Club, became well-known to many of our opponents' clubs as well as our own. Kenny passed away at 6.30am this morning in hospital, with his sister in attendance. Despite ill health in recent years Kenny continued to support the Robins
