New seated pop side would be fantastic as long as the third nearest the away end stays standing.
Also, decent leg room for the seats for us taller old crocks is absolutely essential.

Why the final third standing?

For the golf road singers when we're kicking that way!

I like the sentiment, but if we are going where we want to go I think at some point we will have to accept that walking round to different parts of the ground will become a thing of the past. It would make all the difference if the Golf Road end was completely rebuilt with steeper terracing, which would hugely improve the view of the pitch. I love the old girl, but the view from there is and always has been garbage.

I don't think space is an issue. By moving our fans they have put a contingency in place, because they know there will be lots of empty seats available if more people turn up unexpectedly. Seems pretty sensible to me.
Unless they open up more sections, there are fewer seats in the three sections we've been moved to than in the two sections we originally had.

How hard is it to open another section, though?

What was the crowd v Leyton Orient in the FA Cup? My Dad said it was absolutely rammed for that game.

7,844.

It was very snug on the Chequers End, as I recall!

Thanks for that, Barry. Yes, I imagine it was a bit of a tight squeeze with that many in!

There is some speculation on Twitter that Jennings is signing permanently for Halifax.

We should be putting our strongest team out and aiming to get to Wembley. On the whole, our performance in this competition since our last quarter final in 1995 has been woefully sub-standard.

To be fair, it's not unwise to allow plenty of extra time when negotiating Dartford crossing at this time of year. The queues can be murder near Lakeside and also approaching the Bluewater junction on the A2.

A lot of things on this forum boil down to extremes. There are seldom any shades of grey.

Example:

If we lose three on the bounce, we're sh*t and we're going down. We then go four unbeaten and people start talking about the playoffs and the football league. There's no middle ground.

In this situation there was never an issue with kids being in and around the ground, the issue was whether parents were supervising them and helping them stay safe. As a parent myself, I can relate to this. Instead it has seemingly degenerated into two factions, people who hate kids and people who don't. It wasn't necessary for this to happen.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he went out on loan for a month soon. What a fillip it will be for our midfield when he is back to full fitness!
