He was a really nice man. RIP Eddie.

Thinking of his family at this sad time.

I can see this going to a replay. It's never easy at Southport and they will be right up for it.

It's a long season ahead and don't forget how badly we dropped off in the second half of last season. The depth of the squad will be of the utmost importance, especially if we get more injuries/suspensions etc.

I don't really think it's a game where we should be setting up with two defensive midfielders. We need to be on the front foot from the off.

I was hoping to make the short trip to Dagenham for this one, but I'm going to a wedding on Saturday, so won't be able to go. Fingers crossed for another big performance, though.

Bill made it clear in another thread that cash payment on the turnstiles was intended to remain, but that the club favoured a move towards as many people as possible buying tickets in advance.

Yes, that is not a lot to ask, really.

A possible solution:

There is already a button for "Season Tickets" on the menu. Could it be changed to "Tickets", with match tickets and season tickets as sub-options? Just a thought.

Getting back "on topic", I feel that these signings really have the potential to take this squad up another notch. I will be very interested to follow their progress.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Last three pre-season games
« on: August 10, 2021, 10:04:30 PM »
I'm worried about our levels when we play Torquay. We've played games against lower opposition, apparently without outclassing anybody particularly. I know the pitch being done tied our hands to a large extent, but I fear we simply won't be at the races when the season gets underway. We've not exactly troubled the scoreboard much either, considering the opponents we've played against.

Sorry, it's not in my nature to be negative, but this pre-season has not felt like sufficient preparation for what lies ahead. Go out and prove me wrong, please!  :)

Welcome A-Jay and all of the other new squad members. I've had some concerns, but I'm now looking forward to seeing what this squad can achieve this season.
