Altrincham FC First Team / Re: CEO has gone already. Q&A postponed.

Maybe didn't fancy the Q & A and being quized about what he does.🤥

I am puzzled by what a CEO is, and  does.
Would you prefer the term "Managing Director" They are in essence the same role?

Top dog in the building reporting to the board that owns the company. Buck should stop with them in terms of business decisions that adhere to the running operations.

Fab! That's my learning done for today.

Thank you

Maybe we're looking to cut costs!

If that's the case then  the board really screwed up in having any CEO just six months ago. I believe this board is far better than that at financial planning.

I unfortunately can't link it, but if anyone can get hold of Rod  Liddle's piece in today's Sunday Times ("Punish Forest Green for vegan pies, not ineligible players") it's a really humourous piece from a man who shares our sentiments towards "the little club on the hill".

If they're making pies out of vegans they should be punished. No excuses for that. Shocking.🤔

Fortunately FGR are rubbish - I make it 8 points they've accumulated with him between the sticks. Although that in itself would leave them a fair bit  adrift.

Will be interesting to see if Blackpool are awarded a bye or if Scarborough are reinstated to play them like Horsham were.

Scabby would be reinstated I suspect.

I realise most on here don't really rate the Senior Cup (I do by the way) but does anyone know who's still left in it and when's the draw for the next round?

Asking for a friend (😂🤣😂)

https://www.cheshirefa.com/cups/cups/2023-2024/senior-cup should help.

Anyone else trying to listen to Radio Robins? For me it's on and off continually. Very frustrating. The commentators are good but no good if we can't hear them.

Oddly RR has been great tonight, just like the old days.

Should we be worried that he's Marcus D. ?

If he gets scoring like Marcus I'm a very happy chappy.

In a train to Alty for today's game. Come ON you reds and whites.

My reading is this is a full on shop in the town, on a permanent basis, as opposed to a pop-up here today gone tomorrow arrangement. It's fantastic news!

Very interesting interview and insight on how the great team did what they did.

Absolutely great way to spend 50 minutes.

A small point in the scheme of things. What's happened to Alty TV? It seems that it is no longer in HD. In fact, definitely LD.
I'll take frame rate over definition any day.
Thanks for the feedback on this. We've recently switched to the TNT owned camera as main cam as my trusty old JVC (Alty TV cam) can no longer send out a stable output to the NLTV stream (a very loose HDMI out). You might notice a much better quality picture when the edit switches back to camera 2 (using the JVC) on the Southend video. I'll try to make a few more tweaks to the TNT camera and if this doesn't work we'll revert to a dedicated single camera edit using the Alty TV camera only for highlights and leave the NLTV feed on the TNT camera.

It's like a different language. Delighted you understand all this and can pull Alty TV together. It's hugely appreciated.

...have allocated 1,268 tickets out of 1,550 to themselves - and only 282 to Charlton!!!

Alty, please take note...

Making sure of the home advantage. Good idea.

As has been pointed out, it might not be much of a home advantage!

I'm surprised they haven't gone somewhere like Welling to get the crowd up a bit - but maybe they fancy their chances of actually winning the tie (and there's the telly money too).

There is also the emotional issue of playing their biggest ever home game, at home. If we drew city or utd at home I would be very unhappy if we took that to Stockport.

Well done CVPMFC.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: The Main Stand windows: tunnel vision
« on: November 08, 2023, 06:44:00 AM »
The answer is to give the main stand to the away fans and build a 2000 seat main stand on the pop side with loads of leg room as the new main stand with all facilities underneath. That way the golf roaders could migrate to the chequers end as and when.
Job's a good'un! 😉

PS. We'd have to cover the chequers end though as we can't have our fans getting wet!

Oooh all seater away fans! I like that, never as noisy as standing.

Good thinking.
