A good positive move, may now see some interest in the shares. This is long overdue.

I don't think it's the "directors" that people have a problem with. It's just 1 of them.

We certainly did, when it was a level higher in the pyramid.

That's ridiculous, some people still go that want GR out and some people don't go that want him out. Likewise vice-versa, the only real knowledge is that he's currently a hindrance more than a help and if he really cared he would step down.

My understanding is the disenfranchised want Rowley out, no chance of reconciliation, not eat humble pie etc.
So shares made available and until someone better is found we will just have to make the best of it wont we.

In the meantime, a thread about how well we played last night has been hijacked again by the usual negative few because the club doing well doesnt suit their own agenda.
I would suggest its in Rowley's and therefore the Club's interest to try and bring back the disenfranchised rather than the other way round. There are also many supporters that still attend matches but who's patience is wearing thin.
Shares have been made available but there seems to be little effort in finding a buyer.
The thread was hijacked because a Director abused supporters, something that seems to be coming familiar.

I have heard that accusation from several different sources, I cant confirm the name of the Director though but it was said. Its a shame because the performance was fantastic and Phil Parkinson is doing a great job.

That is an acusation made by Mr negative, who wasnt even there just because there was something positive to say about the club, he will squash any such notion as it doesnt suit his agenda.
If this forum had a moderator who wanted a fair balanced debate this nonsense would be edited out,... lets see what happens next  :o

Offer us an alternative then  :-[

How about one that doesn't treat loyal paying customers with contempt?

You still havent put forward an alternative, must try harder.
In the meantime, do you want them to walk away and leave nobody running the club?

I haven't asked for anyone to leave - I want the Board to show leadership, eat humble pie and reconcile with those supporters that feel disenfranchised.

However they are showing no sign of doing that and therefore they are limiting the medium to long term development of the Club.

Is that your idea of how a Board should behave?

Keep playing good football like that, especially on a Saturday and crowds will increase from new supporters starting to follow us one would hope.

Which will leave us with some new fans who saw some nice passing rather than a couple of hundred fans who've been here for 20 plus years and bailed us out of some pretty serious situations. Long term those are the fans who need to be respected
so much for respect, apparently one of our directors said last night that we can all f**k off (those boycotting)

Hope that wasn't the case. If so he should be named and shamed

Indeed, does anyone know who it was?

Surely its too late for that now. Most people are past caring and have given up.

I think its a great step that the Club are advertising new volunteer positions and the part time commercial manager's role and hopefully new people will apply. Too much has already been said about the clique and the 'usual faces' so its nice that the Board have opened the doors for different people to get involved. Why this hast been done before, I can only put down to Bill Waterson. Well done Bill!

Lets hope for a bright future!

That means the whole club is worth around £1million and I can't see that being the case. Or is this just a figure GR has plucked out of his arse in a bid to dissuade people from attempting to buy all 117000 shares at once?
Exactly 100%

And this has been Rowleys end game since the Stalybridge walkout. Unfortunately those that protested and the Rowley out group have been taken for mugs. This has all been about more power for Rowley, overpricing of the club is the oldest trick in the book of corruption

Those that voted for this resolution should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves

Not in my name, not my club anymore
Get off your high horse. I'm not a happy clapper, nor a fan of the old Board. What I witnessed last night, was a Rowley who would welcome new people and investment. He may have been incompetent at times but he's not a monster. I was speaking with several of the Rowley Out gang when he came over and asked if they were satisfied with the outcome. If someone genuine comes in, he will step down.

Can someone from the Club please explain why personal points of view are being put on the Official website? Its not only embarrassing but misleading that an account of the EGM should feature in this way. Fair play to the Laidlar's for the extensive work with the website in the past but surely if the Club wish to progress and become more commercially viable, a new website is required.

And there is at least one company willing to do it in exchange for a double hoardings, social media exposure, and some website sponsorshipx

ManagementGuru, is this being explored?

Can I just (although not "someone from the club" per se make the point that every match report John writes is, by your yardstick also a collection of personal points of view?

I think you know full well, what I'm talking about. Any statement on the club website about the EGM should have at least been vetted by the Media team, one of whom - Brian Flynn, was present at the meeting. I would be amazed if either the Board or the media officers knew that the website would carry the story before they had even had chance to gather their thoughts following the meeting. As a shareholder and long term supporter I continue to be gobsmacked by the behaviour of some associated with the Club.
