Last Sunday I was at Barandywell Stadium to watch Derry City v Cork City which by the way was like watching alty v Vics strip wise.

However with about 10 mins to go the tannoy announced that you could text vote for your man of the match with the chance to win a signed football etc.

All you did was text "Derry 10" to 55555 (number made up for US movie fans)

Might be worth looking in to?

Derry looked useful, not far off Conference level to be fair, the crowd was 2,500 and the drums were excellent; never thought I would say that! However they are rather practiced at them....... ::)

Just saw an ad on Setanta 1 for the Football Matters programme that is on at ten tonight.

It said "and probably the best goal you'll ever see"

What's the bet it is Man Utd's winner yesterday rather than Welch against Crawley?

Setanta should be promoting non-league surely......

After thumbing through a few classic editions of this pre-internet bible I decided to pick up a copy at WH Smiths today.

To my utter dismay on the season summing up for Alty we were described as a "Lancashire" club.

How can they get this wrong, most 12 year olds could tell you the counties of origin of towns and a so called professional publication cannot get it right.

WTF is what I ask you!!!

I will be making a call to the pub on Monday to double check a non-league invasion is ok, as suggested by the landlord a few weeks ago when I asked about him showing the game.

Pub has two streams of satellite hence why I thought it would be a good venue.

Can anyone top my own run of form.......

Witnessed 1 Alty win in the last 16 games I have been to. Goes back to the start of last season, in fact it must be 17 as we didn't win the last game of season before did we....

You could even add four City games in to that and it would still be one win.....

Come on Alty make MY day.

Well I've just watched the Blue Square Review and can confirm the blatant handball in the build up to the goal was not a figment of the Histon Glassworld mirage but indeed one hell of a bad decision.

Yes we had to carry on defending but we should not have had to, free kick to Altrincham.
