I don't think I've ever seen more errors in a summary of an Alty game, worse than the BBC:   :D

Altrincham FC First Team / FC United v Witton
« on: May 07, 2013, 05:05:46 PM »
Now that I've just about come to terms with Saturday and us being in the BSN again, who would people prefer in this one?

As a club, I have to say that I'd definitely like Witton to come up and should FCUM get promoted they'll probably be more likely to challenge in the top half which I would prefer not to happen if we're to give it a go next year as well. On the other hand a league tie against Witton probably wouldn't generate anything like the income that an FCUM tie would...

EDIT: Although, the police costs would probably be higher than any game we've had for a while.

Big game tonight for both teams involved and as it can affect us quite significantly what does everyone think the best result would be?

Worcester 2-1 down at HT. Would be a great result for us if it stays like this.

Altrincham FC First Team / 1996-97 History Question
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:55:05 PM »
Looking back at some past seasons we looked to be quite comfortable in the Conference League finishing mid-table most years with the odd push for promotion. (e.g the 1990-91 season)
So for anyone who was around watching Alty in 96-97 what happened for us to suddenly plummet from being a mid-table outfit to a relegated side 9 points off the pace?
Was it finances, the manager or did we just have a terrible year on the pitch?

Altrincham FC First Team / Bradford V Gainsborough tonight

Quite an interesting game in terms of how it affects Alty but I've been looking at the table trying to gauge what the best result would be for us. A draw possibly?

Is what we're listed as in the FA cup draw

I hope I'll still be wanting to watch it come Sunday afternoon.

Altrincham FC First Team / Duncan Watmore
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:17:48 PM »
Has anyone seen a better prospect in an Alty shirt? He was outstanding today at times again and was going past players like they weren't even there. The only other player I've seen who's in the same category would probably be Ryan Shotton.

Altrincham FC First Team / New Signing- Ryan Brooke
« on: May 26, 2012, 12:45:55 PM »
From main site:

Altrincham FC have agreed terms with 21 year-old Oldham Athletic striker Ryan Brooke (d.o.b. 4 October, 1990, height 6ft 1inch) who is being released by Oldham Athletic at the end of June 2012. Ryan spent much of 2011/12 season on loan, firstly from September 2011, at Barrow, where he played six games and scored twice. In January, 2012, Ryan went to AFC Telford United on a season-long loan and scored on his debut, against Braintree. At Telford, he made 7(+5) appearances in all, scoring twice. He had previously made 30 Football League and FA Cup appearances for Oldham Athletic.
2010/11 League 2(+11), 0 goals
2009/10 League 2(+13), 1 goal
2009/10 FA Cup 0(+1), 0 goals
2008/09 League 0(+1), 1 goal

looks like he's scored a few at conference level, hopefully he can be prolific in the BSN.
