Altrincham FC First Team / Harrogate Sign Toulson
« on: June 20, 2008, 06:29:09 PM »
from bbc (don't know if this has been mentioned before but seems a step down for him perhaps?)

Toulson signs for Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town have signed utility player Ryan Toulson from former Blue Square Premier side Halifax Town.

The 22-year-old played 39 games for the Shaymen before joining Altrincham on loan for the last four months of last season, where he made 13 appearances.

But Town have lost the services of full-back Jamie Price, who has joined Blue Square North rivals Farsley.

"We made him a fantastic offer but we didn't want to get into a bidding war," said general manager Alan Williams.

Price, who joined Town from York City two seasons ago, has followed Mark Hume, Chris Bettney, Steve Burton and Kirk Jackson out of Wetherby Road this summer.  Jamie is a lovely lad - he always has a smile and a word for everybody

Harrogate general manager Alan Williams

Toulson will join Danny Holland, Darren Dunning and Denny Ingram who have all re-signed for the club for next season, plus former loan striker Jamie Smith who has joined from Sheffield FC.

Toulson's former club Halifax have just transfer-listed all eight of their remaining contracted players, and their future in Unibond Division One North is still not assured.

Williams was eager to praise Price for his demeanour during his spell at Town. "He's welcome back any time he wants, he's a lovely lad.

"He'll be sadly missed, a nice bloke on the field and a nice bloke off it, always a smile and a word for everybody. We wish him all the best

Vics lost 1 0 to a 7th minute penalty against Nantwich so they're out.Stalybridge knocked out by Vauxhall 3 2 and not to sure about congleton and cammell laird.

So i think that means we've got Vauxhall at home, is that right?
and does anyone know where they are holding the final?

its a bit late but noticed we didnt have one so what does everyone think, can we take something from Crawley and get some points or not?

I would personally be delighted with a draw but it will be very difficult
2-1 to crawley id say in  realistic terms but as a fan il say 2-2

From Bury fc message board

I have been instructed to post this by shakersladconnoh as we all know he cannot make any sense he and wants me to post it for him.

Well at half time he went to Colin Potts hand, big bald looking Altrincham player. He went to shake his hand and at the last minute Connor moved his hand away. Colin Potts (I am sure that was his name) reacted in a way that any thuggish aggressive most probably violent character would. He went right up to Connor, grabbed him on the shoulders and pushed him fairly aggressively and shouted “I will ffin smack you in a minute”. It in fact took the Altrincham keeper to restrain him from Connor. Potts behaviour was disgraceful, being a football player means you should be a good role model at the very least. What he did could be classed as assault. Then a couple of minutes later he comes storming out of the dressing room for what I can only imagine was to come out looking for Connor so he could “smack him one” as he promised. The man is a complete coward, making threats to someone half his size but failing to stick by them. What a pathetic excuse for a human being!

Then the behaviour of one particular steward was also a complete disgrace. As soon as the incident had taken place he threatened to send us all out of the ground for “acting like idiots and messing about”. He told us you are “not allowed to mess about, you are here to watch football”. I say these particular quotes, what other stuff he was saying had a swear word every other word. And this guy was a “senior” steward. He has absolutely no people skills. The mini assault that had just taken place did not seem to even enter his mind when he was having a go at all of us. Then every time he saw us he continued to threaten to send us out. Sometimes it is the people with power who cause the problems, in this case the steward after the actions of one idiotic probably thuggish player. There was about 30 people standing around at half time, he comes to us and tells us that if we don’t sit down he will send us out. Words cannot describe the sheer stupidity of some people. Both of them are bullies!

mixrd reactions from bury fans it seems though

Altrincham FC First Team / Colin Little
« on: April 30, 2007, 03:00:11 PM »
i have heard rumours that colin is taking the blame for us getting relegated because of the chance he missed and that he is in a pretty bad state ,however i think that yes he has had a lull in form but he has picked up and saved us several times this season.we need him more than ever now so he needs to know that we are 100 % behind him
