Grahame did the walk this morning, along with a number of other fans to Salford.

Well, it's an interesting one. I really enjoyed today for the first time in a long time. I felt their was heart, and passion in the team. I've accepted we're down, and I follow this team to watch a good game of football. I left the game today frustrated, but not angry. 60 standing away fans clapped the players off the pitch today and it was a nice atmosphere

What I can't understand is if we have all this extra money we have never had before  (as a number of posters have said we do ) why do none of them want to answer the very simple questions of why we can't compete in the transfer market and what we are doing with all this lovely unexpected cash.

Either they are wrong and we don't have extra money or actually we are no more financially competive than we were prior to the hall

Come on then what's the answer... last chance saloon 😊

I think the serious answer is that there was never going to be (or promised) 'loads' of money to the club. The bar takings have probably doubled, and so that has meant more money to the club/budget. Having said that, you don't run a club on a bar. It just makes a small difference. That said, I bet without it we'd have been relegated before the last game of the season last year.

Another PR disaster.

Can we really demonstrate our lack of ambition any more than admitting defeat to Harrogate?

I don't see your point here, Harrogate are a team with a very high budget. This has been known for years

This will be the clubs financial year, not a season.

Never paid a dividend in at least 10 years. Every penny is reinvested.

Just another reminder about this weekend - we really need any help people can offer.

There's a couple of people down at the club now ready to start so please do pop down.

Just a reminder about this weekend, the more people we can get down the easier the job will be.

If you haven't already, please can you let me know if you are planning on coming down.

A quick reminder to all, after making a start last weekend, we are looking to continue preparation work for the Sports Hall this weekend.

Due to the match and then the FA Cup final on Saturday we don't anticipate much work being completed, however we would like to make a concentrated effort this Sunday. We believe that a lot of the work can be achieved on Sunday if we have around 20 people to help so I'd like to make a big plea for anybody that can spare some time during the day.

The work will be starting around 10:30am and if you are able to bring any appropriate tools/gloves it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a lot of work left to be done, but with a concentrated effort we can get this finished.

Again, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you are able to come down to help. (either by email or message on here.) Any questions, just ask!

Many thanks,

We are helping the Club by organising working parties over the next couple of weekends to help prepare for the Community Sports Hall construction.

This Sunday we will be moving the contents of the Club Shop, and nearby storeroom to other areas in the Ground.

The following weekend (May 17/18th) we will be demolishing the Club Shop and removing and stacking flags for disposal.

We will be starting around 10:30 each day, and would appreciate any help that you can provide over the two weekends. Any ‘porters trolleys’ or similar, would be really useful as well.

Getting the work done by supporters will take £7,500 off the project costs.

To give an idea of the number of people coming down, I'd be grateful if anyone interested could let me know what time they are able to provide. (Either reply to this message or by email to mford90@outlook.com)

Many thanks

That argument was valid in BSP but with a few exceptions we are amongst clubs with similar or not worse facilities, fan base and money.

I suggested we spend the wage budget on more players on a lesser wage.

What I don't get is there doesn't seem to be a plan.

With all due respect, we may have the facilities but we need people to turn up to them. The club and tasc put a lot of effort into organising the race night last week, but it was an embarasement due to how few people turned up. There must have only been 30 people there, everyone of them the usuals who help out on a matchday. It could have been a successful fundraiser going straight to the squad, but instead only raised £600. I understand it was a depressing day football wise, but I'd argue every team in this league (many who we think we're bigger than) would have got a bigger turnout in similar a situation.
12  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / Re: LIVE VIDEO AND INSTANT CHAT FOR SOLIHULL AWAY MATCH! on: September 04, 2011, 04:35:10 PM
hmm ok

I guess we will have to ask Solihull Moors FC then?

Ive been making videos or recordings of the games, why does live make a difference?

Its all about being able to see your team play if you cant make it.

Everntually it would be a paid ustream with better quality,  the only other thing i could do is record the match and play it striaght after it finishes but live is better.

There's a massive difference between live streams and recordings, similarly to you needing a TV licence to watch live tv (Even streamed online) but not to watch BBC Iplayer and other On Demand services.

The way I understand it, The Conference, like all leagues, owns the rights to live broadcasts, and the home side owns the rights to recordings of their home matches. The conference have sold the rights to Premier sports, and then they choose what to show. Setanta (and so i presume Premier sports) have shown Conf North/South Playoffs, so all league rights must have been sold.

Also, i'm sure Phil can correct me on this if i'm wrong, but equipment capable of streaming will be classed as Professional equipment and therefore banned from most places without specific permission. (Football stadiums, music venues etc.)

Sorry to be so negative, but you could land TASC/FC in trouble if you sayy you're representing them.
