Those present from Alty were Neil Faulkner, John Skelhorn, Derek Wilshaw and myself. Also in attendance were Nicky Clee, Damian Reeves and Alan Ainsley. Was an amazing turnout of 1200 plus and with 850 plus footy shirts on display.

And so it would take something special for anyone to justify a place in a ‘team of the decade’ who didn’t play in either of those sides.

Cost of kit is kind of irrelevant, as kit supplier, I’d probably supply FOC. The issue is 100 plus replica shirts sold as “away shirt” and 5 x Junior teams having the kit as their away kit as well. What do you tell them? Besides that, GREY is a very popular choice of “neutral” away kit, see how many use it in Premiership and Football League. If you think logically, what would be the worst kit to wear at home games, given the volume of red/white garments in a crowd, along with red/white paint everywhere. Hope that answers a few critics.

Good evening everyone, those criticising the kit, please understandt the player’s played a part in design, and supporters chose the design from options listed. Also, sales through the club shop have bettered any other replica away kit options during my time as kit supplier. Also, I’m happy to respond to any issues direct to you, the supporters.
