I started attending Alty matches regularly when I was about 10.  I came on my own or with a couple of pals.  I don't think that I ever behaved in a way that annoyed others around me, but maybe, a times, I did.  I'm now in my 50's and have a season ticket; I attend with my son who is in his early teens.  While sometimes the behaviour of our younger supporters can be rather irksome, we should be pleased that they want to come to watch Alty rather than support a Poem team.  If ever I've felt the need to say something to our younger supporters (very rarely), I've done so and had a positive response.

If we're looking to quash inappropriate behaviour, we should maybe have a word with the one or two (adult) supporters among our cohort who insist on using the most offensive language to remonstrate with the referee, or oppo.  For many, their behaviour will be far more of an irritant, yet we seem to consider that just a normal part of the match day experience.
I'm pretty certain from the documentary that our management team swear . So that's the management and kids gone . Who's next

The situation at the turnstiles really needs addressing quickly - these problems are being reported repeatedly.
If Iím not mistaken, today there were 2 turnstiles open between the main and family stands and 2 on the Golf Road end. This is the same as the Telford game on Tuesday despite the crowd today being 500+ bigger. Iíve used the e-ticket option a lot and even thatís proving problematic due to technical issues.
Pretty sure that we regularly used to have 8 turnstiles open. I suspect that weíve lost volunteers and wonder why this might be.
we have lost volunteers because despite being fantastic at community work we have lost touch with the fan base that wanted to help the club . And a number of old volunteers have been treated in a very poor manner

Still don't think it's a red, but not clear cut enough to have it overturned.

sadly I think your right the game has changed over the years and even if no contact is made it's punished

Excellent highlights, silly unnecessary challenge by Max. Gave the referee a decision to make. Two good strikes from ourselves after a poor goal to concede.
silly or a committed player ? I know which I would rather have playing for us . Took the ball no contact with the player and his feet were on the ground and he took the ball with one foot not 2  . A yellow for me at most unless the game has gone . Btw I know the game has gone

Miles off it first half, much better second and thoroughly deserved the win. As has been said, we Hancock to turn in a performance or it's a massive struggle.

Thought the red card was wrong and fully expect us to appeal it. Their management team were embarrassing and I hope they  go down.

White was my mom

What were they up to?
mouthing off and coming across to the Alty management . Jokers

Exceptional highlights as always . Wish we had you in the 80s and 90s

That's the bit I couldn't see if both feet were off the ground . If they were he is classed as out of control and it's a red . Be interesting to see

Taking nine points from nine could be the catalyst to push us into the playoffs.

Very lethargic and stuttering performance but getting 9 from 9 can't really be argued against. I hear there has been some sickness going through the squad so in those circumstances we can't be unhappy if there were some under par performances. We certainly didn't play well in the first half but we also weren't allowed to by a very defensive Curzon side. I rate Toby Mullarkey but I think James Jones is a better defender and our defence seems more solid with Jones. Difference of opinion around me on Max's sending off - some thought it was two feet off the ground so dangerous play, others he got the ball - I thought a booking was sufficient.

Happy New Year!
I will be interested to see the replay I thought his foot was high and that sometimes is enough these days however I thought he took the ball as well

Brilliant performance today - best league performance this season in my view.

Glad people are recognising just how exceptionally Hulme played today - he is just different class, and I have been saying for some time he could play at league 1 level or above and be successful. He has curbed his temper but not his competitive edge and he holds the ball up and distributes as well as any striker we have ever had.

Simon Richman had a great game when he came on for willo - his injury is a real worry he has been our playmaker of late - and JJ's goals were excellent and will do his confidence the world of good.

Its fair enough to dismiss Southport as one dimensional, limited, not at the races etc - but don't under-estimate how good we were - we made them look poor because we played sublime, positive, aggressive football - the 10 minute spell in the first half started by Hancock's screamer was just a joy to watch - how we didn't score I don't know.

The attendance - 1519 - 175 in away end - was excellent as well. if we can get crowds that size when we are 17th in Conf North, it bodes well for when we hit a successful streak - the potential support is as high as it has been since the 1960s.

Only slight concern - to have 250 plus fans still queuing to get in the Golf Road at 3pm because we only had 2 gates turnstiles is pretty poor planning - we clearly need to work harder to get more volunteers to come forward.  This sort of thing stops floating supporters from coming back  -and we don't have the luxury of letting that happen
there was no way I was queuing 20 mins to get in . I went in the away end and asked to be let round . Farce

Best I've seen us this season. Full credit to all especially the subs who excellent. Very hard to pick a mom, but Hulme was magnificent.

Heard Williams went to A&E with a suspected broken bone in his foot.

They were utter sh*t and should be kicked out of football along with Watson.
Jordan hulme was exceptional today . Very unlucky not to be MOM
