Class player at non-league level. If my memory serves, in the League Cup semi home tie against Mossley in 1979 when we were 4-1 down and O'Keefe had run the show, didn't Stan Allan "take one for the team" and pick a fight with O'keefe and get them both sent off? We then proceeded to win 5-4!
Kettering will do for me.No they play in Burton Latimer!
Do they still they still play at Rockingham road. The access to there stand was akin to post war Dresden
with sh*t and rubble all over the place...
Boreham Wood do have some form for bad behaviour at big matches, unfortunately.
I believe that's true but only up to conference north/south level. Beyond that it's a league/law matter.I'm thinking that will be the first and only time the beer festival could be combined with the match time as next year we'll be back to no drinking on the terraces.
I thought it was established that drinking on the terraces wasn't necessarily a league rule, but a local council one?
Ah, fair enough.
We played them in the NPL in the seventies so the last league game would have been in 78-79, and we have since been there in the Trophy more recently as you say, but later still.Last League game at Silverlands - October 17th 1978; won 4-0 (Rogers 3, Heathcote)
I can't make it myself, but I anticipate a narrow win, or even a draw, as they gave us a very good game at Moss Lane as I recall.
Last competitive visit to Silverlands - January 14th 1989, FA Trophy 1st Rd, won 2-0 (Cook, Brown o.g.) Gate 1005
