Are we changing our opinions on full time football? In many previous threads we have slated many teams who have gone full time and suggested they will be bust by Christmas etc etc. Yet now we are saying we must go full time?

The club, with recent additions to the board, seem to be making the right noises about the business side of the club. promoting the club and capitalising on revenue streams available to us. So perhaps the long term plan is to go full time? Personally i do believe it is the only way to go even in Conference National now, nevermind the football league.

I also see that comments made about consolidation are bewildering along with comments that Sinnots 20/20 was not acheiveable. Playing devils advocate, i believe that PP has ambition, the club wants to be in the National league, but in the same token if we say we are going to gain promotion and fail the board will be critisised when if we dont. I think a sensible approach is consolidate with hopes of promotion being there. But by saying consolidation it keeps the powder dry allowing us to over achieve rather than under achieving if we dont go up.

I hope for play offs next season, but realisitically top half for me would be a reasonable result, but not one i would be particularly happy with.

A lot of mixed feelings around at the moment, but either way we need to push on as much as we can and get this club back to where we belong and that is mid table National.

Can we add in as an option "£10,000 pitch covers" as a late contender?

I replied with some suggestions as below:-

My suggestion for pricing is other.

However, i suggest using option D as the base option. At the turnstiles you pay your entry fee keeping it simple for the gate person with £15, £10 and £5 options.  THEN each person on entry receives a free raffle ticket, different colours each week etc which entitles you to two benefits :-

Benefit 1 – £1 off your food/drinks bill or a free bottle of whatever drink – it may also entice more bar spending and more people to use the facilities. Assume 400 use the facilities = £400 give away.
Benefit 2 – when the ticket is handed over it for the £1 discount/free drink it is entered into a half time draw, giving the winner £50.00 = £50 give away.

Total give away is £450  which is approximately 50p per person.

This option gives you more income plus something back for the fans and users of the facilities. This idea could be used for options B and C if needed of course, or you may be able to think of something more suitable as a free give away to reduce admin time.

I then replied with a further email as i forgot some items i was going to say, so sent the following as well:-

I forgot to mention, that i would also ask that within the pricing £1 per person, equivalent to the gate numbers is put in to a Cash ISA each week. This on average is £1000 a week.

Over a season of i don’t know the games, say 21 is £21,000, some games will have less attendance so equivalent to £20,000 which is the cash ISA limit. This £20,000 would be worth say £20,500 by the end of the season to be used the season after or for ground improvements.

Bingo you have the majority paying £13.50 with increased bar takings and a cash ISA for the future.

Announcing the Half Time draw may also start to get more people in the bar.

We have discussed before about pictures in the top bar on the website and currently we have Mr Little.

Whilst not a player, would it be appropriate to have picture of our one and only Kenny?

Just an idea but perhaps it would be something the moderators can discuss between themselves.

I'm confused. If Jenga is entitled to 20% of the flag that implies there are five owners. How do you get to a three man majority with or without Jenga's participation. Was there an abstention?

Their was originally 5 members of the teasers inc

Last night the only 3 remaining active members of the teasing squad inc ( 2 AWOL) held a vote and unanimously removed said shareholder from the squad

I would like to question this statement. Are you saying that the vote was between 3 remaining active members of which 2 were AWOL? This would mean that the vote was held by ONE member of Teasers Inc. Whilst i appreciate that this is a majority of present members, it would seem to be more of a Teaser Coup by one isolated member. In relation to my 20% share i will walk away quietly with no objections if i can take my 20% from the middle of the flag material including all relevant letters on said material.

Not posted for ages, but i felt like i wanted to today.

I personally dont like what GR has done, said etc. But it is not keeping me away from the matches directly.

What is keeping me away, and it was touched on earlier is that after 2 seasons of simply pathetic football and management has made me lose interest. Why have we been so bad? Well the book stops with GR, so indirectly you could argue i am staying away because of him.

Yes i am missing out on some good football, but lets face it, we are not playing York, Wrexham, Cambridge, Oxford and so and so on, we are playing Mickleover Sports, Barwell and Timperley Wanderers. Fair weather supporter, yes i guess i can be called that, but after turning up week in and week out when getting beaten i couldnt take any more. After losing 3-0 to stafford at the start of the season, my only game this season, i just couldnt face it.

Saturdays and Tuesdays i ALWAYS look out for the results. I also watch the goals and yes the football looks good but i refer to my point above.

I am sure I will be back, assuming we get promoted. I appreciate i may get haters for my comments but i would rather be honest and explain my reasons for staying away at the moment.

Long live the teasers.

I am happy to put my head about the parapet, I thought the first 30 mins we were outstanding, the football was very slick, but the problem being for all the pressure we didnt actually get many shots on target. On another day we could have had 3 or 4. Their goal was against the run of play. They defended extremely well with everyone behind the ball, there were so many shots blocked it was untrue. After 30 mins though I thought we did nothing of any note. You cant win a football game playing for 30 minutes only, unless it is subuteo. Must do better up front and tighten the back four up fast.

Do they sell Frank Sinclair football shirts, i would like one of those as he is a hero of mine, from his Colwyn Bay days.
