I think we're all getting a bit more confident of reaching the play offs, but here's the big question, can we secure a home game in the qualifiers? - ie finish fourth or fifth? I'm not sure. What do you lot think?

I've got a horrible feeling it's three.
Time to discover whether the lad from York can come up trumps for us. I'm sure he will!
Four points from the last two might see us claim fifth spot which would be a fantastic achievement.
Here's hoping Kidderminster can do us a favour and pip Halifax this evening. 🤞

Time for a goal scoring sub to come on? (don't mean Dior by the way 😉)

Must have heard me! Dior and Donawa on for Linney and Mooney.
Come on you Robins!

I know Dorking are absolutely desperate for the points, but so were Kiddy last Friday & Boreham Wood a couple of weeks before that. We’ve put the relegation strugglers away at their own grounds recently & if we want top 5 we’ll need to do that again this Saturday. Should be noted too only Kiddy have a worse home record than them this season, & that stand out victory against Chessy aside it’s mainly been a long cycle of defeats with the odd draw for them at their ground since Christmas.

Also think the plastic pitch whilst not ideal we train on one at Egerton most days, so that shouldn’t be a huge factor.

Can’t envisage many changes to the team that started the Oldham game, not a surface to risk starting Justin A on with his recent injury problems but hopefully he might be on the bench. Hopefully Dorking have learnt from their gamesmanship & cynicism at our place & we get a proper game with 22 players on the pitch for the full game. I imagine Linney will have a bit of extra motivation too…

That lad won't fancy making that red card challenge on their own pitch - he'd have no skin left on his leg!
Wasn't it that lad who's gone Gateshead?
I believe so.

Any kind of win would be fabulous.
It's not going to be as easy as some people seem to think but we've got to push through awkward games like this.

Talking of run ins, I see Emley have won the NECL and are back up to level 4 again.
Most interesting is that one of the scorers in their championship winning game was a certain James Walshaw! He's got to be over 40 now surely? 🤔

Tottering on the brink of admin again?
They'll probably be ok though won't they?

PS. There's a article about it in the local Southend newspaper but I don't have the skill to attach it! 🙄😏

York 1 up

Halifax equaliser in the 93rd minute 😕

Full Time 1-1. Halifax now 7 points behind us with only two games in hand.

I think it's just the opposite of the Klopp effect. They're resigned to relegation and think they might as well save the new manager search and the associated clear out of players until the close season.

Some of the currently competing teams are playing each other and those outside the playoffs. We seem to now have the easiest run=in, but nothing is certain of course.

That could be the usual me talking! 😉 😂😂
