Brilliant news. The best loan player we have had since Ryan Shotton.
Has fitted in nicely for such a young lad and comes across as having a great attitude.

In fear of being slated on here, I thought it was a reasonable match, we played quite well and looked more like winning than we did the same fixture last year.
Welling had very few chances and we looked comfortable. It is a pity that Rankine didn't put away his one-on-one with their keeper. However it was his determination that created the first goal. We should have been ahead at half time, only for a great save by their keeper and the crossbar from the follow up. I thought Jordan Sinnot had a very good game. Crap ref. I would have taken 1-1 before the game. However if we don't take our chances we wont win games.

No rain here today as yet. We had drizzle last night but no puddles outside my house like there usually is when we have heavy rain.
It is however now very windy.

There was only a breeze when this was sent this morning but the wind is now building up quite strongly.
Not a day for Skyball.

I doubt that his TRIAL will last beyond a week or two, as is the case with most football trials when clubs want to look at players from far afield.
Firstly good luck to George and I hope he gets offered a contract out there.
IF they do want him, they may not want to wait until his current contract expires as the NSL season starts around March, so we could be in for a transfer fee.

The RMT union is currently planning to strike from the evening of Saturday 6 February for 48 hours. If this goes ahead, Tube services would be disrupted from early evening on Saturday and all day on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February. As the strike involves Tube station staff, Tube services will be running but many stations may open late, close early, or may not open at all.

Services on London Overground, the bus network, DLR, tram, river and TfL Rail services will run normally, but they may be much busier than usual. Extra buses will operate. Weekend engineering works on the Tube, TfL Rail and London Overground will go ahead as planned.

Buses do not accept cash. Please use contactless payment or Oyster, or a bus & tram pass ticket. Contactless is the same fare as Oyster.

Please check before you travel and visit tfl.gov.uk/tube-strike or follow @TfLTravelAlerts, @TfLTrafficNews and @TfLBusAlerts on Twitter for the latest information.

I don't think I have ever used a credit or debit card in a pub, apart from one that had a restaurant where I also paid for a meal.
I would only use cash to buy a round of drinks. Cards delay queues. One of my pet hates these days is filling up with petrol and having to wait in queues for petrol or to pay whilst some idiot buys their daily shopping.

I didn't think Barnsley were that bad against us. I thought as a team they were far better than Colchester, who had skilful individuals. Colchester looked a completely different side yesterday than to the one we played 6 weeks ago.

Neil Brown who has worked very hard all week but, like many others was defeated by the weather.

If people keep posting stupid comments however we may not have one

On this occasion ATS is bang on right. Well said.
There is nothing more deflating than trying your best, not achieving your goal due to unforeseen circumstances and then being openly criticised. This especially applies to those that volunteer, of which we have many at this club and without them we would have had the same fate as Vics and Runcorn a long time ago.

It seems no matter what the club do, they get slaughtered by some people on this forum.
We have also lost 2 games this season on unplayable pitches - Bognor and FGR.

Judging by the Woking game, I don't think we should look further than Jon Margetts rather than Brodie or anyone else for that matter.
Are all the 4 loan players all full time that may not want to turn to the part time game?

Thank you very much to all those involved putting these highlights together - I really enjoyed them.

At last - a game that I couldn't get to and otherwise would not have seen.
