Quite obvious from PP's interview on the main site that he feels there was a failure to deal with injuries properly last season. Sean Miller was rushed back into the team after injury, and promptly succumbed to the problem that's kept him out ever since. PP feels it hasn't been dealt with either quickly or professionally enough. Things are going to change for the better on this front I'm sure.

Just read on the main site that the No.9 in the 2nd half was a trialist which I'm pleased about because he didn't really impress me and I thought he was the highly rated striker we'd signed from Witton! Of all the trialists the lad that wore no.3 at left back in the 1st half was the most impressive but we said that about Callum Charlton last pre season!
That number 3 didn't stand out for me, but I thought the tall number 2 looked half decent. James Poole looked classy, and in the second half Sam Sheridan practically ran the game single handed. It should be noted that we played most of the second half with 10 men !

I didn't notice we had 10 men,how did that come about?

Harrison got injured,  apparently nobody else fancied coming back on !

Me plus 2 in the car with at least 2 more of the firm on the train.

The firm bit was a joke btw in case anyone from Whitchurch is reading!
I'll be there (I'm rather infirm !)

Hopefully we will win it....
We don't want any excuses, starting with a win at Whitchurch next Sat. in our first friendly of the new season.

I will be there, I may even bring the dog... I will ring them up and see what the score is about dogs on leads...
Can you set him on GR ?

We didn't see a lot of him at all, fitness certainly needed addressing, can only assume he's escaped the cull on pedigree and potential.
In fairness, his pedigree doesn't read that badly. But his more recent history negates it. Potential ? Didn't see him play, but it would seem from the views of those who did that it could only be unlocked if he shed a stone or more. A wasted talent.

Maybe not that the friendlies have been arranged already but I don't recall how many friendlies we usually have, 9 seems a couple more than usual?
I think 9 games with a squad more or less fully assembled means we will be in an infinitely better position than last season.
I think Parky probably has a fair idea of his team and what he wants and it will force the squad to gel and perform.
I don't really care how we go up as long as we do.
Shaw lane will most likely be an (aqua) force next season. If we finish above them I think we'll be in the playoffs at least.
Over the past five years the number of PSFs has varied from seven (2013 & 2016) to eight (2012, 2014, 2015), so yes, it's more than usual but not by much.
Under Lee Sinnott we always had a "team bonding weekend" which meant one less friendly.

If we don't get out of this league at the first time of asking it will be an even bigger disaster than last season's debacle.
In which direction?
Don't even go there......

Us. Anything else is failure.

The state of that mug is totally compatible with the season it "celebrates".

He'll be world class for a few games.

A sensible question this........what happens to those fans who decide to boycott home games, if we are top of the league? Do you return on the basis the club has been turned around? What happens if we win promotion and are at the top of the league or near it? Do you return?

At what point do you return, is what i am asking if the club is truly turned around under GR?
I'll probably succumb if we look good away and promotion is on the cards. But it won't feel 100% right.
