Think Northwich Villa were formed by Jim Rushe when Woodley FC changed their name...they played at Valley Road, Flixton

1874 were set up in protest to Rushe and the shenanigans going on. A friend of mine at work (Ian Street) was their first Manager

I guess we'll probably do Dinanga to death while he continues to do well. He divided opinion but there was definitely a 'middle ground' of supporters that felt he'd probably do well elsewhere. When the chance came to bank a fee, it was correct for all parties for him to go.

The lone striker role has always been the achilles heel of Parky's classic 4231 system. It's a tough role to play and you had to have real strength of character to make it work. Marcus has more ability than Jordan, but we all know which lad suited us better.

Sometimes it just doesn't work. There are many more examples of players igniting here when they haven't elsewhere, than the other way round.

I agree he had plenty of opportunity here.
Spot on sir

Brought a friend against Ebbsfleet....he said the close ball control and footwork etc of Chris was worth the entrance fee alone.
No idea how long his contract lasts, but this young player could have a big future in the FL.
I am sure many players now realise the Parky / Sorvs influence is the way to better things....many examples.

Conversely, Dinanga who did not fit, looks to be having a stormer

I remember that we beat Cambridge U 5-0 at home in 2007, but can't remember any more at National League level.
See the above for memory jog....

This is the biggest winning margin since ?
In top flight....looks like March 22 beat Weymouth 5nil...April 2016 beat Welling five nil and  Feb 2010....beat Salisbury 5 nil

Just checked...won before by 5 goal margin in National over last 20 years - without scoring six.
In North beat Hinkley 8 nil and beat Boston 6-1 and 7-1. Also beat Droylsden 6 nil.
Plenty of five goal margins in North

Went in fan zone for the first time on Tues....thought it was very good.
Boozing outside is not my cup of tea (unless 28 degrees plus)....but fair play, enjoyable and really hope fans will take to it

20 mins : let me guess.....of the 8 staff; one cleaning coffee machine, one polishing wine glasses, two in the back, one sorting menus, manager pacing bar area and two serving people at the bar in any random order. Tables stacked high with dirty plates and glasses. It winds me up, but is the price of cheap drinks  ;D

As Dave said. The King George is very welcoming to away fans for a pre-match drink and it's only 100 yards from the away end.

The bars in the ground aren't accessible from the away end since we started segragating fans.

Plenty of bars and pubs in the town centre / market area.

I'd give Spoons a miss. It must be one of the worst in the country.
Spoons......certainly takes some beating to find a worse one in England.....started life though as a Lloyds No1......hence crap layout and decor...tired looking place as well now, but does stay open late.
Used to like a Spoons in the days of two cottage pies with chips for a fiver and decent real ale, but food is poor now and beer is hit and miss, so Unicorn is a last resort for me

Also plenty of town centre pubs, bars and cafe bars....real ale, lagers, the lot, all 20mins walk away and near tram/train/bus station. Best Google it.

Hope your match prediction is correct....only been your place once when Daish in charge and we lost

When Brian Clough was manager he passed his PSV test and gained his licence such that he drove the team bus !

Tenuous link with Alty having a bus driving ex-chairman
