There is only one priority this season - to make sure we win this league outright. Cup competitions are therefore a distraction.

Next season we have to aim for at least the playoffs in National North. A Trophy run then would also be potentially disruptive (a run to Round 3 of the FA Cup is quite a different matter).

I seriously am not too bothered about going to Wembley until such time as we complete the two essential promotions.

Speak for yourself!

He clearly did, hence the "I" in the above statement.

Lets scrap the trophy the travelling is to much

Infact lets scrap all nationalised sport it's a farce, bring back the Cheshire League and we can travel by horse and cart as well
The Cheshire League was International. We went to Bangor 😬
And didn't we have a lovely time?

Let's happy clap our way back in time.....top notch thinking that man.

Not enough horses and carts, although I suspect you have a stockpile of pony and trap........excellent idea.

Sounds like a useful workout ahead of another tough away game on Saturday. Does anyone know what round we are in now? Quarters next or Semis?

Even the thought of Gresty Road isn't giving me a semi

Bit sad to be so disrespectful to a competition we've been playing in for 100 years, could understand it if we were flying high in the conference, but we're evostick sh*t now and should be grateful of the opportunity

Bore off

That's why football is a great game. Riley's tackle was a yellow at most and if it was a red why wasn't 't your lad sent off late in the second half for the same thing. Didn't like the way your keeper and six players surrounded the ref....

We competed really well and if it had stayed 11v11 who knows. Also tell your radio guys we are 1874 not Vics

Aye, aye, the condiment chompers are still as bitter and twisted as ever.

Completely understand your point of view Globby but I think we should go and win some trophies.
Iím amazed that people canít see the connection, whenever teams at all levels play a weakened team and lose it disrupts their momentum- the thing we have going for us right now is the belief that we will win every game.

I understand that point of view also, but it's the risk of first team players getting injured that worries me more than anything else.

So we march on. Let's hope this tinpot cup doesn't interfere with us winning this tinpot league.

+1 Absolutely spot on. Never have liked this annoyance of a competition and never will (and yes I've been to finals).....probably stems back to us getting fined 500 pounds (which were worth a hell of a lot more back then; for several reasons)  by the Cheshire FA for fielding a reserve side away at Cammell Laird on a bloody Tuesday afternoon for fecks sake (back in very early 80's).

I would have been happy to see us out of this, even at the hands of those of a green and white persuasion.

me too . any chance of a yoof improving it so us old blind farts stand a chance

I am far from yoof, but I know a thing or three about such things. The quality of the original image is not sufficient to blow it up to a more readable level (even after the use of image enhancement software), so unfortunately it will need to be re-scanned by some kind soul who has access to the article.

They looked like they were the same group who attached themselves to the club a couple of years ago and caused issues then. Tonight was poor, kids clearly under 18 openly drinking bottles of bud. They left a load of them at half time in the corner of the popular side. Add in  at least one smoking weed and three smoke bombs. Finally did anyone else see most of them at the end of the game gather outside the Hale End gate and  try to start on some Warrington fans. Embarrassing for the club but hopefully the club will be better prepared when they turn up again.

Ah yes, we could all do with a little common sensimilla.

But to be honest its more embarrassing than anything else. We don't want people singing about united or anti liverpool or city songs

Sounds fair enough to me.

In summary, we would like to thank the fans for the feedback, acknowledge we got it wrong for the Stafford game and recognise the value of a number of your suggestions.

So, the Coalville Town game went swimmingly then?

Which individual actually sanctioned that invitation to those Leicester City fans?

EXACTLY THIS.

I couldn't watch all of that. Quite apart from the sound effects of one man and his dog and the pin ball nature of the game, the camera work is enough to induce a severe case of motion sickness.

Why is Reeves only a sub by the way?
