Just for the record I think Buzz would have been OK but he would have needed time to learn. PP is already up to speed.
What a staggering statement. In a parallel universe, Rowley got his wish and Buzz stayed on. Alty went into the last game of the season battling Hednesford for 17th place in the league in front of 382.

I'm thinking that will be the first and only time the beer festival could be combined with the match time as next year we'll be back to no drinking on the terraces.

I thought it was established that drinking on the terraces wasn't necessarily a league rule, but a local council one?
I believe that's true but only up to conference north/south level. Beyond that it's a league/law matter.

Not seen this asked elsewhere, but are the new covers in place yet - assume not?

Congrats to Parky, Neil and all the lads on an utterly deserved and frankly since Christmas not really in doubt league title. Granted weíve had one of the largest budgets but itís how you use it. Pride has been restored and we can now look forward once more to playing teams you donít have to google and in towns with a train station.
Could equally well replace the last 4 words of your post with "rather than villages"

As for Shaw Lane, what a shower of sh*t ( with the exception of Reeves), constantly down the refs ear and falling over . If I lived 20yds away I wouldn't bother watching.
Absolutely agree. What a dreadful anti-football team they are. The Lugsdens were particularly bad, as was the #7.
Really don't understand why refs at this level are unable to get a grip of this sort of stuff. The constant kicking the ball away at free kicks (all unpunished of course) was particularly grating.
Anyway, great result and you could see what it meant to the players and staff at the end.

Thomas Westall from Ramsbottom United to Altrincham

That's just one of our reserves who has been on dual reg. He's been in a few of our cup squads this season.
Played on weds night in winsfordís cup final.

Cos itís free
Free because Gary paid for it

It's interesting that no existing Alty fans were prepared to do so?
And which Alty fans knew that the renewal was due?

Lee Hughes is bound to score, although itíll be the consolation in our 3-1 win.

I fear that decision to promote Neil Tolson to manager (for what?) in March 2016, rather than aim for survival, is going to continue haunting this football club for many years yet.
Nail on head. Don't know about you, but in the 5 minutes between Sinnott leaving and Tolson being appointed I genuinely thought it inevitable that we'd recruit a capable manager who would keep us up with ease.

crowd of 546 how many Alty roughyl ?
When they scored there seemed to be about 50 people who were remotely bothered. Rather weirdly, the 100 or so people on their pop side didn't appear to react to any of the goals. Maybe they get a lot of neutrals at Ashton.

On a serious note the amount of threads turning into squabbles is embarrasing

We need a separate squabble board

On a positve note my daughter had a fab day yesterday getting a pic in the police car and with the main man himself

Top day

I didn't realise that Kenny was there on Saturday.

Huge game this, win and 9 points ahead of them with their 3 point deduction still anticipated-it would be a big step towards automatic promotion. Really hope we get it on as half term week so should be a good midweek attendance. Also hope we get a strong ref, can anticipate them trying the rough stuff.
Agree huge game this, but the yoga class is also hugely important to the club. The two shouldn't be clashing like this, the game should have been scheduled for the Wednesday
Getting tedious now.

Pitch inspection tomorrow at 10am. Rain / Sleet forecast all day tomorrow, that looks like an early PP by a local ref to me.
Which will be slated as a farce on here. As would a late PP.

Unless they appoint Matt Doughty.
Surely he has been snapped up by now. Didn't his wife tell us on Twitter what a great manager he is?
