Maybe give Hulme a rest to fully recover for the FA Cup clash. Peers was full of energy when he came on.

I would start Richman again.

Play red and white and ditch the grey sh*te.

I agree with giving Peers a run - we need to use our squad where we can.

I'm conscious a lot of effort went into that shirt - it looks fabulous imo, but I do genuinely believe there's something in that whole effectiveness of grey kits on the pitch.

Peers gives us a different option in attack - no-one would say he's a better player than Jordan but he does have more pace and gets into the box more.

I'd like us to play in red & white wherever possible!

That was another great performance.

Jones is a different player alongside Hannigan. Tom was immense tonight.

Moult without any doubt makes us more solid. I hammered him two seasons ago and he has stepped back up to the level we know he can play at.

Richman was everywhere again. JJ full of running but still needs to beat that first man on dead balls more often.

White was a different player on his favoured left side. For me we are a better team with Densmore playing. Considering he hasn't played all season he was also immense tonight. At one point Hannigan and Dens were the players driving up the field on a counter attack. There is no reason why PP shouldn't give Dens a run now and I would play White at LB over Hampson because he is quicker and attacks better.

Played to our strengths tonight with the wide players on their correct wings and full backs bombing on. We can afford to do that with Richman and Moult in there.

And finally Thompson continues to play well. Seems much more confident and better at decision making. Made up he is proving me wrong.

That was a top game of end to end. Spolit by a group of Chester supporters who are just scum. The should get fined for that behaviour.

I am still standing by that we should play in our red and white kit as much as possible.

Agree with all that and respect due for recognising Thommo's improved performances. Hugely enjoyable game, maybe lucky with their disallowed goal but we had enough chances to bury them, some top save by their 'keeper.

I have to agree, regardless of how well things are or aren't going on the pitch, that kit is horrible. We should play in red and white whenever we can.

Thought it was just me that thought this season's away kit is horrible

Maybe I saw him on an off day but I was at Warrington's first game of the season and he came on as sub and had a bit of a 'mare to be honest. I was telling my mate there what a good player Chadwick could be but he wasn't convinced  Grin

I thought we defended well and looked organised in that area today. We didn't really let them have opportunities till later on, generally after Branson came on when we lost cohesion. I thought Jake might have come on at 3-0. JJ and Ceesay were a constant wing outlet for us though JJ's final ball is inconsistent at best. White got forward better today too though Connor Hampson seems a bit off the pace to me this season. Thought Hemmings played well and all 3 goals were well taken. I've always liked Tom Peers and he has a good goalscoring record but we're not using him to his strengths out wide - he showed his speed and strength on one run down the middle and that's where I think he is best used but I guess that's not going to happen when Jordan is in the team.

Alan. I think Graham Heathcote is still waiting for his winnings. I hope he charges interest!  Cheesy

For anyone who hasn't seen it before, here is the Liverpool vs Alty game from the FA Cup 3rd round tie in January 1981. Very early days of club produced match videos so it's fair to say it's not of Alty TV standard but what a great historical document of a fantastic day and time. Enjoy!

Big opportunity for TT to show us what he can do. Ended last season brilliantly and he was unlucky not to start this season. I think he organises the defence better than Drench, he's more vocal and is better on crosses into the box where we've looked vunerable this season. Huge blow losing Drench though as he has been generally solid and his distribution at times has been clever and accurate. Wishing him a speedy recovery

Pleased to get the first win on the board but defensively we don't look as solid as we know we can be. I don't doubt Drench's ability and his distribution is generally good but he doesn't come out for crosses the way TT would and the defenders need to learn that. Too many times last night a high ball across the box wasn't cleared or gathered. We need to start keeping clean sheets again.

We'll look a better side when Moult is back - we've missed him protecting the back four and breaking up opponents play. Agree with the comments about Nathan Arnold, I'll always support and encourage the players but I'm not sure he's a long term option for us.

Key difference with social media platforms like twitter, instagram, Facbook etc is that the information get pushed to those who've registered an interest - generally to find out there is news on the website we have to go and check it - or we get informed by the social media!

I certainly wouldn't term TT "error prone".

We haven't seen enough of Drench in an Alty shirt to form an opinion of how he integrates with our defenders but I can't say he stood out for me when we were knocking the goals in against BPA this season.  I'm sure he's a decent 'keeper but if he's that good he won't want to be sat around waiting for a game which is why I wouldn't be surprised if he left. I notice he wasn't on the bench much at the end of the season, has he been injured?

On the Williams point, he did play further forward for Warrington which is why he scored so many more goals for them. We need to get him into positions where he can shoot more. We've used him in a more defensively/holding role.

We've got a great squad that doesn't need much tweaking. I agree with an earlier post about Williams - tidy and industrious but doesn't power forward in the way that, say, Richman does. I don't think he quite suits our style of play. TT will doubtless start as number one next season given his end of season form and I wouldn't be surprised to see Drench leave. I'd like to see a permanent left winger rather than a succession of loans, no matter how successful they have been. Also, as much as I like JJ, a winger who can cross accurately and consistently would be good!

Thoroughly enjoyed this season and its brilliant to see the buzz about the place again with supporters old and new really buying into the club. My thanks to all involved, can't wait till next season.

Disappointed but not unexpected after Saturday - always a risk we'd come back down to earth. They were very solid and you can see why they don't concede many nor score that many either. Gutted for TT, he'd had a decent game and didn't deserve that. Poor Ben Harrison must wonder what he has to do to finish on the winning side for Alty this season - think FC Utd has been the only one and he was carried off injured then. Onwards and upwards, still lots to play for.

Class player at non-league level. If my memory serves, in the League Cup semi home tie against Mossley in 1979 when we were 4-1 down and O'Keefe had run the show, didn't Stan Allan "take one for the team" and pick a fight with O'keefe and get them both sent off? We then proceeded to win 5-4! Smiley
