I would only put us at 60%, without Reeves49% Sad

Take away Reeves goals and trust me it does not leave you with 49%

without Reeves goals we would have been relegated by a mile

currently 13 points above relegation.........what price 44 goals?

25%

I don't think anyone has suggested that you might go there to watch the Referee (that is for sad, other Referees like me)

However I don't think it unreasonable to highlight it when a local bloke and Alty fan is successful in his chosen career and that success is recognised by a 'plum' appointment. And when sais chap is as well known to as many people as Ant is I would say that is even more reason to bring his success to the attention of the forumites.

Many apologies if my initial post has caused you offence

this is not a refereeing forum ATS

the ref should be seen and not heard

we not on here to discuss you and your ilk

best - Pye/Sanders

worst - Sinnott/Williams
To say that Sinnott is one of our worst ever managers after this long is completely ridiculous
Ok Mike just my thinking

But as you disagree would you care to enlighten me, who was worse in your opinion?
Not been supporting Alty long enough to really have an opinion on that, but come on, Lee's been here under a year and it's not like we're in a crisis or anything. Give him a chance that's all I'm saying

ok, but for the record we are currently 8th in the table, if we finish the season 8th that will represent are 4th worst EVER position finish in the non league pyramid

The next step for Ant will be for him to get on FIFA which, hopefully he will achieve. If successful he will then be eligible to Referee European ties and some Internationals

In terms of where it stands, this is his second national competition final - He has also refereed the Vase Final, also at Wembley. So it is a sign of him doing well IMHO

He has indeed had some of what people might call 'better' appointments recently (Two FA Cup Replays, Fourth Official at Wembley last Sunday and games so far involving Man Urd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal)
so the FA Trophy is hardly a big deal for him........maybe a step back?

1st 25 ordered will have BLUE SQUARE badges attached as sample. Ring club with your orders. Also, having 2 star's embroidered beneath badge as recognition of 2 Conference Championship's won in the past.

great idea!

Personally, I wouldn't buy this one but I would buy the royal blue one.

Royal blue is the colour Macclesfield Town play in clicky..........our greatest rivals if you recall

so not a great idea

Don't really mind about that personally. But never mind, it's this one and I must admit it's growing on me a bit.
why dosent this suprise me Clicky?

so what do you see as the way forward Fatdog?
74  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Lee Sinnott on: April 08, 2012, 11:20:24 PM
The problem with replacing him, is how long do you give the new guy?

Do you give him 9 months to make a instant impact?

its about making the right decision

and having the balls to hold your hands up and accept when a mistake has been made

do we have the balls?
75  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Lee Sinnott on: April 08, 2012, 10:47:39 PM
He at least deserves another season.
can you clarify why?

how do you see us improving next season?

Well, for a start I think it's ridiculous that people are calling for his head after one season. it's  not like we're battling relegation and some fans on here seem to think we have a god given right to go straight back up,. We've done ok this year, not great but not bad. This is certainly no grounds for sacking a manager after 1 season?

And I see us improving by building on what we have now. I hope we will also improve through an increased budget after cutting it this year from over spending to stay up last term  and from the freeing up of wages from Twiss.

Why do you think we would benefit from changing the management team?
why do I think we would benefit from changing the management team? Because the current one have not been able to structure a defence all season, are tactically inept, lack passion, have no contacts - should I go on?

Building on what we have now?

I think your banking on a) Reeves staying and b) LS working out a defence - both far from certain

Are we supposed to be satisfied with 8th or 9th in the league (as you seem more than happy with)? Sorry for me it not enough
