Good point, although itís usually frowned on by the footballing authorities when it comes to being unable to travel unless itís really extreme circumstances . I remember it took a very long winded stewards enquiry including representatives from coach companies, police and the highways agency being involved when a game between Torquay and Weymouth was postponed a few years back. It was called off after the coastal roads between the two were considered to dangerous to travel on. Personally I think they should have been told to use the M5 and the A37 and found it to be a rather soft postponement as they pitch was playable and area around the stadium free of snow

Alty - 19/20
Draw - 5/2
Blyth - 12/5

Another big game, would be a significant three points if we can get them. Putting us well back in to the mix.

Southport say they are bringing a big following tomorrow. Hopefully the game is organised as well as the stockport fixture and they are in the correct area of the stadium rather than having a big following roaring them on in the home end

Or vic - Wigan outwards and wig - Crewe Crewe - Piccadilly in the way back
15  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Chorley match thread on: January 07, 2019, 08:18:06 PM
This is Saturday timetable
For the Wigan - Chorley bus, Wigan bus station is 5 minutes walk from the rail station

https://bustimes.org/services/362-chorley-wigan?date=2019-01-12

Wigan's very good for places like Warrington and Crewe, but the last train back to Manchester is 1655 in the strike timetable.

Obviously not ideal for everyone andy, but i mentioned to someone else today that all though itís an unorthodox route, Manc - Crewe on an express and Crewe - Wigan on an express and the same on
The way back is not the expensive epic would first appear. Crewe to Wigan is 14 quid return and Crewe return is usually about a tenner
