All would more than likely be based in the south, so the travelling might be a bit excessive, plus to be honest, with all respect, some members of the weymouth squad have been at every club thats gone financially tits up in the last three years, and them jumped on to the next big pay day, and for all there supposed talent I wouldnt want them within a million miles of here.

I see he's got his boxing license back, maybe he'd like to keep his fitness levels up by signing for a conference club on a part time basis  Grin Seemed to help rushden and do a reasonable in his short spell back at nene park.

Weymouth Football Club restructure.

9th January 2007

Weymouth Football Club Chairman Martyn Harrison today announced that a number of changes at ‘The Terras’ are being implemented as a consequence of an on-going review he has conducted at the club over the past few months.

‘Weymouth F. C. is an important part of a wider business and for almost two years I have devoted considerable time and resources to re-building the club to ensure it’s long term future. This has proved to be enormously difficult and has placed considerable pressure on both myself and my other businesses. Following a review of all our activities I have concluded that the best way to achieve the original goal of a sustainable football club is to re-structure, set new challenging but realistic goals for the future and operate very much more in line with the income we are able to generate.

‘The plans we have for the re-development of the club encountered set-backs last year but we are working on a revised strategy that I believe will offer up a sustainable future for Weymouth F.C. I continue to view this initiative as vital for our future.

‘In the weeks ahead there will be a number of changes that will place us in a better position to give the club the future it needs as well as the ability to maintain financial self reliance. I am working closely with the Board and Management to ensure that these changes take place as soon as possible. It will be a painful time for us as it is likely that there will be changes in the squad as well as some personnel at ‘The Wessex’.

‘I appreciate the irony of these changes coming at a time when we are enjoying success but it is imperative that achievements are delivered in a sustainable manner. I believe that now is the right time to make the changes that will give us the long term future we need.’

Yes its covered, they give us a huge covered kop that holds 3,000 people, decent snack bar up at the back of it aswell  Grin Its very windy though, so a big coat should still be the order of the day

Seeing as freedom of expression was banned at the game at FGR, I presume the bannner will be in attendance this saturday. I hope some of those that came to the northwich game that arent normally in attendance come back aswell, it would be nice to see at gate of 1200 or so for the visit of FGR

Surely we will be able to compete better next year once the debts have gone, everyone has their own opinions ,but for my money beating sh*t like worskop 4-0 infront of 602 is tiresome.Give me 300 exeter fans on the away end and trips to the likes of oxford any day.
8338  General Category / Altrincham FC First Team / With regard to tuesdays game at tamworth on: December 18, 2006, 10:40:13 AM
With ten conference sides already falling by the wayside, yet again another chance to progress and make a few quid is available to us. Need to put saturday behind us and go out and win, that first away win is somthing we need desperatly, and tuesday is the ideal time to get it. I'll be honest, we were poor on saturday, but so were tamworth, the whole game was just flat, the lads need to dust themselves down, forget saturdays frustrations and go out get themselves back on track tomorrow.

And whats more, if you can make it down there tomorrow night to support the lads, the go, there is still £4,000 up for grabs in this tie, and a place in the second round, the draw for which is this morning I underestand.

That ref should be removed from the list, and that 12 year old rent boy they had running the line that didnt realise he was supposed to wave his flag on occasion.
