I guess that Simon will be in for Dens and the rest as last nights starting lineup.

Planning on going, come on Alty.

Altrincham FC First Team / Pitch Covers
« on: March 30, 2018, 10:32:39 PM »
See on main site they are asking for pledges to get pitch covers. Excellent idea. Hopefully it will be a success and they be ready for next season when we need them. It says  half pitch covers. Do they only cover half the pitch?

Altrincham FC First Team / New Signing.....
« on: March 20, 2018, 11:22:37 PM »
Altrincham have signed winger Theo Bailey-Jones from Stalybridge Celtic. He was a used substitute against Altrincham last Saturday when Celtic beat Alty 2-1. Theo (dob 22 May 1994) joined Wrexham in November 2012, having started out at Manchester City, before moving to Crewe Alexandra. He then played for Northwich Victoria and Irlam Town before his move to Wrexham. In summer 2015, he joined Macclesfield Town after a loan spell at the Moss Rose from Wrexham. When his contract expired at the Welsh club, he signed for the Silkmen.

Did'nt see that coming?

Any thoughts anyone/?

Assuming the match goes ahead will JJ be fit?

What line-up would you go with?

Personally I would like to see Josh play just behind Jordan, Richman and Harrop in midfield

Hopefully the game will be on due to the current form we are in.

I would keep same starting 11 as Coalville, if all fit and not fatigued.

Home win please to start the New Year.

Bring on the Alty  :)

If fit line-up as per Saturday with Richman in for Harrop would be my change.

Hoping to make the game.

Hopefully another 3 points, although I expect it not to be easy.

Been very quiet this week or are players still on contracts other than those signed for next aseason?

Altrincham FC First Team / MOM
« on: November 12, 2016, 06:24:57 PM »
Andy Dawber was my MOM, without him it would have been at least 6-0 to them. Rest were very poor and wonder what they actually do at training as they cannot even pass the ball. My Alty Youth team would have given Salford a better game today.

Altrincham FC First Team / Shaun

SHAUN "A MILLION MILES AWAY" from main site.

Joint Press & Media Officer, John Edwards, reports that "Neil Young’s pre-season build-up has been dealt a blow after it was revealed Altrincham skipper Shaun Densmore will miss up to two months of the new campaign.
Right: Shaun, back to camera, talks to Charlie Joyce and David Lynch before last night's game at Trafford.

Attacking right-back Densmore had hoped to be fit for the big kick-off after undergoing surgery on a medial ligament injury midway through last season. But another knee problem has hampered his progress, and even if the results of a scan next week prove favourable, he could still be out until early October.

After seeing his side recover from going behind for a third successive time, in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Trafford, Alty boss Young said,'Shaun has had a lot of pain in a different area of the knee and will see the specialist again next week for another MRI scan. We will be governed by what the scan tells us but, hopefully, it will just be a bit of tendonitis, rather than anything serious. Realistically, if he is OK and, allowing for working his way back to fitness, you are probably talking about the end of September or beginning of October before we would even consider him.

‘He is a million miles away. He hasn’t done anything in terms of pre-season. He has to strengthen that leg up and strengthen the quad to an extent where it’s capable of withstanding a full-blooded challenge. We all know the way Shaun plays. He gets stuck in and flies into tackles. He’s had a lot of wastage in his thigh muscle, because he’s not been able to do a lot, so clearly there’s a lot of work ahead.’

Alty face a Manchester United XI at The J.Davidson Stadium on Friday (7.45pm) to officially mark the pitch improvements that have been made possible by a £20,000 grant from the Premier League through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund.

Alty’s playing surface will benefit from regular irrigation and new pitch maintenance equipment, including sprinklers that were on show against Chester last Saturday.

‘Clubs like ours would find it impossible to maintain a good standard of facility without this funding, and we are extremely grateful,’ said chairman Grahame Rowley".

Footnote: Shaun was limited to just 12(+2) league appearances last season.

Oh dear, speedy recovery Shaun.
