Arial bombardment in coming.

             Ross

       Cooper  Roscoe   Baines

Banks    Wilson    Osbourne    Jones

          Newby        Amaluzor

              Con-Clarke

Basically going for Roscoes' height over Kosylos' engery.

BW-1-1 Alty (Newby)

Why change a winning lineup, I would go with same starting 11 as Tuesday night if all fit and get at them.

We can only beat what is in front of you. we looked fresher so moved the ball more quickly. was impressed with Wilson, growing up quickly in this league. Amaluzor was hungry and good to see Eddie much improved. All in all much improved. There keeper had a mare, but if don't shoot you don't score.. Hopefully confidence is higher going into a tough game at Borehamwood on Saturday.

Like others, now hoping we make the playoffs. We can sneak in but our form needs to go on upward trajectory and hope others falter. Come on Alty

Tough game with threadbare squad. I would maybe play as follows.

       Ross

Banks Cooper baines Jones

    Osbourne  Wilson

Newby  CCC Kosylo

    Amaluzor

Hope Osbourne is fit to play or Roscoe will come in and maybe go wing backs with 3 at back.

Still not recovered from Saturday, Dour game, draw looked on, then we were naïve beyond comprehension,  not marking a sole attacking option is Sunday league at best. I actually think seeing the highlights that Ethan could have done better, but he was rusty.

threadbare squad now has to pick up the mantle against York, whose form is similar to ours. need to get at them

How was the foul on Newby as we scored the second only a yellow?

The fracas after the first goal was all a bit overblown. Nothing in it for me.

Agree on Newby, could and should have been red.

If watch the first incidence, Marriott was running to celebrate with Regan, there defender stepped into his path and nastily blocked him off with lowered shoulder. Well disguised and got away with it. Minimum yellow in my eyes and possibly a red. officials were so poor on Tuesday.

              Ross

       Newby CCC Kosylo

Elephant....room....has CCC picked up an injury from the relentless kicking he received? We only had four fit players on the bench again (If Amaluzor is 100% I'm pretty sure he'd have been given a run) and if CCC isn't fit, and with Linney definitely out, we're going to struggle for cover. We certainly need Donowa back (played a full match for Chorley last night, and his long throw would give us an extra tactic), and a loan striker would be of real benefit.
Parky said tactical to bring Dior on, it tied up a defender or two quite often as we played 4-4-1 and at times 4-5. Dorking manager said same in his interview and it hampered them somewhat as they ran out of steam. I am sure come Saturday we will see Justin at some point

I agree with comments before, what a battling performance. Under the pump for most the 2nd half. Poorest ref ever seen at ML. One sided toward Dorking as well, obviously the joking with there manager/owner before the match paid dividends in the warm up. Hopefully Linney red can be rescinded, but silly petulance that we don't want to see.

Another tough game Saturday but really pleased with the points from last night.

« on: March 05, 2024, 10:18:08 AM »
I saw a post somewhere on the Facebook group about Justin Donawa going out to Chorley to 'balance the books' - where did that come from?

If it's true, I must say it makes me more relaxed about some of the recent decision making, as NOTHING should put our balance sheet at risk.

Could it also have contributed to Parky's slightly strained words around the support base a few weeks ago?

We've seen how it goes for clubs around us that push beyond their means, and it's very evident that we've been very ambitious already this season with recruitment.

As a bit of guide, we had players reject deals with other established National League clubs to come here - and then there was Crankshaw, Mooney etc -who won't have come cheap.

Maybe it's just about seeing the season out now, and seeing whereabouts we land.

Parky mentioned balancing the books on his pastries interview yesterday. Also said he should be back in a few weeks. But also mentioned they are looking at maybe a loan or too coming in if right person was available. So not sure how we fund that..

Smoke and Mirrors comes to mind.

Huge game, won't be easy, but the rot needs to stop. Need a gutsy performance and ideally a win.

Whatever team is picked, hope Ethan is back, we need to get behind them.

Come on Alty..

All games are tough, assume staying over, hopefully we get at least a point and a few players returning. Then some big games at home.

Massive credit to the travelling faithful, that was a hard watch on NLTV, with no banks which led to a formation change, we were exposed on our right, and they capitalised. Great to lead on a rare counter, and good finish. They pressed and lobbed balls into the area for fun, annoying that as dackers headed the ball down our player marking cardwell slipped and gave an open goal. Nor sure if Gould could have done better. The second, not enough pressure in midfield to prevent the run into box.

Second half we dd better and had a few half chances. We kept going. Slight glimmer there. I assume Regan had a knock, need him and players such as Banks, Amaluzor and Ethan back asap. Were still in a good position and with 3 home games coming up there's hope.
