It's ridiculous that a club our size has the world's biggest sterile area.  We've played derbies against Northwich & Macc (plus bigger sides like York) in the past with the home fans being allowed right up to the end of the Popular Side. It adds to the atmosphere when we're closer. Whilst I've enjoyed the 2 Macc games this season, I think the atmosphere was nowhere near as good as it used to be. I don't understand why the home fans have to be penalised with a sh*t view.
Premier League sides have smaller sterile areas!

Smaller area's but a lot more resources to call on City use about 100 stewards and 40 police on there seg lines plus they have the use of cctv
doesn't compare really

I know what you're saying, but how many away fans do we get in comparison? The size of the sterile area is ridiculous and embarrassing.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but can anyone remember a televised/video'd Alty game, possibly 80s/early 90s that was filmed from the popular side, facing the main stand? Always thought it was the Barnet game, but the camera's on the other side.

Sorry to be so unbelievably vague  ???

This one (and I still can't believe how bad Gary Stewart's penalty was)?

Great highlights, although I'm not keen on the RR commentary over it.

I see that a number of posters have advocated bringing in players after Sunday.

We are of course, being members of the top level of Non League constrained by transfer windows hence, for the time being, we could, so far as I am aware, only sign free agents or loan players.

Leaving the free agents out of the equation for the time being as the likelihood of them being fit enough to play at this point in the season is minimal (unless released very recently) we are left with loan signings.

Ideally we are looking then at loan signings from Football League clubs - yes?  And this is where our part time status can count against us a bit. League Clubs train daily, we don't and it is a very rare player who will train with their host club and also with us so, as our last few loans have demonstrated, the value even of loan players is limited.

I don't have an answer - just putting a point

Good evening Dr Pangloss.

Anyone know the stats for goals conceded this season from corners - as it seems that we concede every single time.

Fans shouting about off-side when they're stood behind the goal.

Talking about the 'last man rule'.

Getting upset about a footballer moving clubs to get more money.

Fans posting about games they didn't go to.

The whole 'not celebrating scoring a goal against a former club'.

Contrived celebrations, especially that baby rocking thing.

The weird rule that if a striker gets a shot off, or a winger crosses the ball in, a foul is never given regardless of how late the challenge is.

Footballers not actually putting the ball in the quadrant when they take a corner.

Long lists of general moans by internet tossers.

You forgot sh*t puns  ;)

I've got a copy of the Pele book as seen in the first picture.

I actually laughed out loud at this!

Why on earth would anyone care that you happen to own a not-very-rare book that is in a photo?
I love you  :D

The Woking fan was complaining to Graeme quite loudly and said he was going to put it in writing to the club  ::)

Isn't that the 3rd time in 3 home games the St John Ambulance have been called in to use?

See sneaky Peake is up to his old tricks..

Can we have another thread for comedy?

I'll never get in that one!

No, no you wouldn't.
