Really looking forward to this. I suppose it has to be the same starting 11. Really hope Jones is fit, he has really impressed me since arriving at Alty. The huge bonus is that he is a young centre back who keeps improving.
We have a strong squad and shouldn't fear them. I hope we don't approach the game reserved. I feel we are far more dangerous to teams when we allow our full backs to get high up the pitch. Allows JJ and Dale to get in more dangerous positions as Dale was on Saturday.
Come on lads.

Jones has always been very promising and I'm delighted he's now showing that potential - I never would have thought last season that we'd cope with missing Harrison.

When was the last time we played Stockport in the FA Cup?  In fact, have we EVER played them?

As a real ale tw*t myself, I tend to agree with Mick.

Real ale does depend on getting a good turnover of people drinking it, and people have different reasons for going to different venues.  At a specialist beer  (and pie) bar like Pi, I am quite happy to try something I have never heard of before, if it's not too expensive, but, at a sports club, that's a minority interest, and I would rather have just one beer which people have heard of, will buy, and can feel confident it's reasonably well kept. I might be wrong, but I doubt the groups who hire the CSH away from football drink much, and real ale which is "off" can be awful and you would be better off having that can of Red Stripe from the fridge.

Therefore, not necessarily Wainwright, but a similar beer (subject to any contracts), and maybe even a local one from Dunham, as I know they deal with Trafford Metrovicks rugby union.

I am more confident about this game than I was going into the Bradford game, although a draw would be  perfectly acceptable between two teams with similar records.

From working in Stockport, I get the feeling there will be a very good crowd - 3500 or so.

I have not been as confident we will score when an Alty forward has the ball in a decent position as I am when Hulme gets it since Colin Little left

Maybe, but I think Jordan has some work to do yet to catch Reevesy - many of who's goals came in Conf National.....help needed here from a statto

I wasn't comparing the numbers but the confidence on the ball in good positions, was never as confident with Reeves - his stand out skill was the right place right time snatched finish rather than when he had time to think about it (see penalty record!)

Also for the avoidance of doubt the purpose of the comment was to compliment Jordan not knock the legend that is Reevesy

Yes I see it as you being complimentory as well - Never thought it was intended to knock any of our other strikers and it was me who put DRs name in the frame.

I know what you mean about Jordan being likely to score when in a decent position - it was just that in my opinion, DR who may have missed many a sitter in his time, also got himself into a decent position quite often - hence his record

Two different type of strikers I guess..........goal per game ratio may be something to compare at the end of the season

2-2 (JJ pen, Harrop). Could be feisty out there, we need to finish with 11 on the pitch.

Attendance 3197

You can;t score when you are suspended though and I think Jordan will be lucky if he is only suspended once more this season.

I think the big pitch there will suit us a treat. Highlights of Stockport v Hereford here, far from a classic
