In terms of vision, ability and technique I'd be willing to bet Colin is one of the best players Non-League has ever seen.

Terrific player with great levels of commitment and loyalty.

Best of luck at United Colin, no doubt in my mind you'll have a great career there.

Oh, and just in case Trafford or Abbey Hey reps look at this forum, there's a cracking player who's just become available...

In my 16 years watching Alty he's probably thee most important player, like has been said his goals got us into that final play off spot in CN, and his other goals in basically what was a poor team (no disrespect) the first few years in conference is remarkable, i mean to finish 3rd highest scorer in league...

I hope we keep the fire burning inside our club and keep going from strength to strength, players like Colin dont come along often, bloody good and LOYAL

Good look in your new role....

To put it most simply:

Without Colin Litlle we would not have come up from the Conference North

Without Colin Little we would not have qualified for the AGM Cup season after season

It is to his massive credit that he has carried the hopes of this club on his back until such time as we have built a team strong enough to survive and prosper at this level without him.

And he is such a lovely bloke as well - a true gentleman and a credit to the club.

Thank you Colin Little for being the Alty player of this generation that has made the biggest impact on the club.

Without a doubt the best player I have seen at Moss Lane since I started going in 1993. Absoulte class act.

Going to be very sorely missed indeed, but he can go knowing he has cemented his place in Alty history.

It has been a pleasure to watch Colin through the years and all Alty supporters will be at one to say THANK YOU for your services and thank you for the honour of being able to watch a TRUE ALTY LEGEND in the making.

Good luck in your new venture, don't to forget to pop in to watch ALTY march on in the future.

Thanks for all the great times Colin. You didn't have to drop to Conf North in 2004 but you came here and did a tremendous job from start to finish. A true Alty legend who will forever be remembered as a hero amongst Alty fans of all ages.

Good luck in your future playng and coaching careers.

Fav goal was against Exeter (i think) at the chequers end  from a couple of seasons back.  1 and 1 with the keeper and blasted it in from edge of the box and then finished with a knee slide in front of their fans.

Is their any footage of this goal anywhere?

It would be interesting to find out off Colin which was his favourite...Anyone in able to find out and post on here?

Thanks Col, and good luck.

During the first few years back in the Conference i worked most Saturday's, i was regulary updated with how we were getting on and its testament to Little that most of my mates know who he and Alty are, he scored so many important goals its untrue, iggly ones such as Morecambe away 1-0, and Oxford at home 1-0....

I too would love to see his goals on DVD, one of my lads would watch it as well  :)

I'm devastated to think that I probably won't see Colin play again. The word legend is bandied about a lot but Colin is one of those it truely applies to.

My favourite goal was that one against Woking. I summed up perfectly the extra time he seemed to have on the ball and the poise he had in abundance.
Every touch perfect and the ball passed into the goal.

The article on the main site also sums up the modesty of the man. So much of he's said is about Alty rather than about him.

Good luck to you Colin. You deserve it!
