Those Green and White fiends are plotting mischeif... http://www.nvfc.co.uk/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6537

Apart from it being them, I'd have thought Colin would probably drop down at least one more level. The commitment involved in laying for a part-time BSP side isn't going to be much less than a part-time BSN side, Shirley?

I'd like to see him go to Trafford or Abbey Hey, somewhere proper tin-pot, and recapture that 25 goal a season form.

Little - legend.

Thanks for all the memories - i'm getting the dvd for my 16 month old, so I can show him when he's old enough. Wish I could do the same for Jackie Swindells!

PS Get him to play in the Staff v Supporters match - Little and McKenna together at last!

They played together the other year in that game where the first team played against legends, France and Constable played. Col and Ken were up front.

That thread from Northwich just sums him up- Any Non League club in the local area would love to have Colin playing for them, he has been the best player I have seen at Alty, and a thorough professional in everything he does, both on and off the field.
All the best for the future Colin and good luck with United.
Cheers for the memories

I wouldn't be surprised if he returned to Hyde United, having played there in the early part of his career.

POST A MESSAGE FOR COLIN LITTLE - ALTY LEGEND 2004 - 2010
« Reply #97 on: April 21, 2010, 07:57:47 PM »

Also be interesting what peoples fav 'Colin Little' memory is ... Or maybe he will create a new one on Saturday.. I really hope so.. Deserves to go out with a bang, and if it wasn't for him then I am pretty sure we would not be in the Conference now.

His hat-trick at home to Hinckley on Easter Bank Holiday Monday 2005 will live long in the memory. He was just a class above and we've been so lucky to have such a class striker for the last 6 years.

Irreplaceable and unforgettable! Thanks Colin and good luck for the future.

Won't be the same without Colin Little. Fantastic player for us and a true Altrincham Legend. My favourite goals from Colin are both the last minute goal at Woking and a great goal against Stevenage on an opening day a few years ago. You don't come across very many strikers who can guarentee you goals at any level but to be consistently in double figures when we were battling relegation just goes to show how good he has been for us. Will be impossible to replace you, thanks for everything.

The goals tally speaks for itself but all good things must  ;)come to an end eventually. Im sure this new venture will be exiting Colin so make the best of it mate! Is there any truth in the rumour that Colin sports a Man City tatoo on his person ?
