"Former AFC Telford United striker Terry Fearns was today jailed for seven years for his part in a drugs ring supplying heroin across England and Scotland. The 32-year-old, who scored 17 goals at the New Bucks Head in 2008/9 and is seventh on the club’s list of all-time goal scorers, showed no emotion as he was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court alongside 12 other defendants.
Twelve of the 13, including Fearns, had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to supplying class A drugs between January and November last year. The court heard police raided Fearns’ address in the Maghull area of Liverpool in March last year, while he was still playing for Telford. They found £30,000 worth of heroin, two knives and drugs kit".
