Next 5 games
« on: January 21, 2007, 09:45:38 PM »

Well after yesterday, this is how I think we'll go on

Kiddy WIN (they are on a good run,but we can beat anyone at home, and I feel we will win)
Southport DRAW (similar to last season,a game neither side can afford to lose)
York DRAW (big games usually bring big performances.Donaldson may also be out through suspension,so we may even nick a win)
Northwich WIN (it would be typical Alty to win away for a game like this)
Crawley LOSE (and it would be typical Alty to get peoples confidence up)

8 out of 15,I would take that.Thoughts?

Take it? I'd rip your hand off for 8 points there.
Really hope you're right, mate!
Have a Goodwin for your optimism!  ;)

Well after yesterday, this is how I think we'll go on

Kiddy WIN (they are on a good run,but we can beat anyone at home, and I feel we will win) - No Nasha
Southport DRAW (similar to last season,a game neither side can afford to lose) - Maybe
York DRAW (big games usually bring big performances.Donaldson may also be out through suspension,so we may even nick a win)-Just our luck Donaldson is suspended for the next 3 games, he comes back for the game at Moss Lane
Northwich WIN (it would be typical Alty to win away for a game like this) - it would also be typical of us to f**k it up
Crawley LOSE (and it would be typical Alty to get peoples confidence up) - 0-2 to the cheating lying crawley charlatans

LOSE
DRAW
LOSE
DRAW (Maybe)
LOSE

Please God if we only win 1 away game this season make it Southport or stalbuns or tamuff

Northwich are unlikely to be relegated/in and around the relegation zone come the end of the season.

Donaldson could still be out if Tamworth beat Welling, meaning York won't have a game on the 3rd.

That's very true Nasha but I wouldn't worry. Contrary to popular belief which is always ill-informed, City are not a one-man team and we will keep winning with or without Clayton Donaldson, it will just be somebody else who will be scoring (Farrell, Woolford etc). On top of that there is a strong likelihood we will have brought in another striker by then in any case. Of course Clayton is a class act, but we have class throughout the squad, one of the best we have had for a decade.

The biggest mistake Graham Heathcote could make is to think that York are beatable without Donaldson and I don't think he will because he is too good a manager to fall into that trap.

Nothing has changed - we come to Moss Lane in a couple of weeks expecting to win.

To be fair Robin, we have plenty of our former League cronies to help us out - for example, we have just taken a really good young winger on loan from Hartlepool and I am sure they aren't the only ones who will help out an old mate with a loan signing.

I agree Phil,no team near the top of any league can be a one man team (maybe Chelsea with Terry!!!).

It will certainly be a very hard game, the way you tore us apart last season shows me that.I just have a feeling where it's one of those games where we are expected to lose, and there is no pressure on us to get a result.

Maybe my optimism is also due to it being my birthday weekend,so I don't want it to be ruined!!! ;)
