I thought the last couple of generations from Altrincham would have actually been born in Wythenshawe or Withington?
I think you will find that the last NHS Maternity hospital in the borough of Altrincham  was Sinderland hospital in Broadheath and that closed in the 1960's. There were though a couple of priate maternity facilities.

Trafford General should be popular (me and my brother were born there 3 years apart, yet our passports record different towns of birth  ???)

Born in Wythenshawe hospital 1980. Lived on Colwick Avenue until my parents moved to Blackpool in 1988. Grandparents live in same house on Colwick now.

Started following Alty on my own in 1995 after my dad took me to several over the years
